Funny fact but actually true n sad, sometimes mad....
The thing is that they don't have a proper answer to our problems
Moreover it is not a less money we have spend on it, on top of it it is consuming petrol like their hyabusa
    Vishal was really lucky...
I just want it to run normal, thats all i wanted....

Mathew, dont worry mate.I know how it feels when you put in all your hard earned money & you get stuff like this.Write ample mails to Suzuki India & also give your complaints in writing to the SC & tell them to get this problem resolved soon.

I never wanted to give back my GS because it is a very good bike but circumstances forced me to do that.I still miss it very much . But I am planning to buy it again since I test rode the new lot.Lets wait & see what I make up mind to.

Imagine how happy we would be if suzuki also does the same for its rusting 150

wow. this is huge. but i guess the rusting in these trucks was causing more danger that our gs150,
and we're in india too, so chances of recall is really less

could someone reply to the question i had about the oil.
i've used it 1200km and its become blackish now(from reddish). should i change it ??
and if i buy oil from outside, will the SC people agree to change the oil for me at the SC or should i change it outside ?

Vishal Bhai....dont tell me.... you are going for the GS again....
thats great news now....really I mean....
many people are complaining about a lot of issues....
and you want to have a second go....not that I complain....

So probably we both can buy at the same time.....

Are really all the problems solved in the new lot??? As you have already test driven the new one did you feel any difference...I mean atleast aesthetically...atleast..
As I am out of India I am not able to keep up those regular Test drives going...

I have my tough time with my new GS which i bought yesterday. Engine stopped 4 times between showroom and my house. That was due to improper petrol flow. Every time i had to open the petrol tank cap and need to start the bike again. I got that air tight problem resolved today. Again today i was going somewhere, stopped for the signal, biker next to me showed the oil leakage. I parked the bike aside and checked the problem. There is a pipe behind the gear liver from where the oil was coming. I was quite far from the Showroom so just called him. Showroom person said bring the bike. I wanted to ask them what nonsense QC they do before sending the bike out? One more issue is rear break is very low. Maintaining with front disc break. Mileage seems to be 30+ now. Let me see. What i can say is bike is new to India and we are yet to explore it fully. I trust Suzuki so let me see how it goes.

Suzuki guys should not depend on luck and providence to make their product a success. Quality assurance must be the key, not to mention sound design. Why are they forgetting all these once they are in India? Generic problems seems to have been sorted out. But these little things (which, I am sure, are more due to lax QC than to bad design) must not be allowed to come in between a good product and discerning customer. The earlier they understood it the better. Otherwise in no time they have to pack up and go. It is a competitive world and there is no dearth of good bikes from other manufacturers.

Is there any way to brining these issues to the notice of Suzuki directly? Someone who has the power to take some action should be notified with all these problems and we can expect some positive changes.

Output is definitely good. How much better, well about 40-50% more light, with no lag in upper dipper. My headlight is too humble, I need to inspire some self confidence in it! In simple words, it is focussed too much on the road, need to push it up a little to see more road. But the 170rs spent on Osram Silverstar seem worth on it, and I definitely don't miss the pilot lamps which were of no use in the first place.

Wish there were some other places of load shedding on GS though, so that the bulb would glow to its full glory!

new to India??? launched in Feb 2009 i suppose sir.... also they have already two bikes in India launched somewhere in 2005 - 2006....

Access also there... if they are not able to take leaf out of their experiences, then god alone can help them.. also they had been associated with TVS for more than 20 years i suppose

                          • Hey guys!!!.... Im new here...and by far this is the best place to discuss about the mini gixxer I'v booked my black gs on friday!!...and hopefully in 2days, will get that baby

I test rode both the unicorn and gs....and uni's engine was damn smooth, but i think d monoshock is over-rated..no offence to uni' lovers tho ... then i test rode an orange gs and wow..the comfort while riding was really awesome! smooth gear shifts and best of all many people were staring @ d bike
till that time i was 99% certain that i was gonna buy a uni...but d test ride totally changed my opinion! but flashbacks apart,

but my optimism quickly changed to worries after i read 100's of posts about various issues like rustin etc! but still like many of you have said "go by your heart" and thats exactly wat i have done!!

so,d main issue is rusting,i'll thoroughly inspect the bike before gettin it...and should i use any anti-rust thingy right from day 1??

pardon me for being a total noob
