    • I have had a crash and my handle bar are 1 feet away from each other i.e. GONE. There is a deep dent in my tank and my leg guards too are damaged.
There is/was no leakage from anywhere and my headlights/sidelights and everything else is just fine.

So what other things should I be checking ? I will give it to the SVC but before that want to know what all stuff are damaged.

Case: Someone spit on my bike & he was on my right. Speed 45-50KMPH. I waved my hand at him just to show my displeasure and at the same time a truck was done filling diesel and wanted to go to the opposite lane. The truck was Horizintal. I saw the truck when I was just 10 feet away, tried my best but crashed in. I have 6 stapler pins (new technology ) below my little finger and swollen right hand.

P.S. I had gloves in my wardrobe. Guys don't think Physics doesn't work in cities. Always wear Knee/Arm Guards, Gloves atleast.

        Magesh,

I am purchasing the materials you have displayed. You have done a very methodical job which is easy to follow. Thanks

My doubt is what is the wire specifications if we are to buy insulated copper wire 300 gms. Wire dia ? wire length ?

Also, please give further procedures you followed for winding and fixing the coil

I have always been billed separately for cleaning and lubing the chain..
I spoke to ppl in the billing counter couple of times,i was told that it is not included in general service.Am i being taken for a ride..If yes,its time to change the SC..

Hi Rajesh., regarding the copper wire it's 19SWG (dia 1.016mm - actually this data is not req. ) ... Now I've updated it in the album too.. Further details are all coming on the way.. Once done i'll update it here..

                Magesh,
A soldering iron of more than 35 watts is preferable. Try to use 18 swg winding wire instead of 19. Buying a new stator coil is not essential and is wasting about Rs.845/-. We can consider buying it later if this attempt fails and we decide to revert to the original settings.

                  • Guys I want to cover up the gaps in the tires just to make it look more sporty. But tell me if its unsafe to do so like for example during cross winds... And when else ??

Yeah Vishnu, it's waste of money., but considering for people like me who haven't opened a stator cover earlier.,, it'll be very helpful to understand and practice winding with ample amount of time by not keeping the bike idle...

                          That why i suggested...

With 18SWG wire the total no. of turns is less (around 360turns), that's why I suuggested for 19swg (around 430 turns)., My bike is having 12pole stator and the area for winding is less compared 10pole stator(from observation of your stator coil).. I'm not sure about the voltage produced by 18SWG & 19SWG will differ more,, cos I didn't checked it with 18SWG .. My 19SWG wound coil is doing well Vishnu., Battery is charging well..

I think bike's with 12pole stator can go for 19SWG..

Please correct me if I'm wrong..

Nothing to correct except that the number of poles in older stator is 8; not 10. The total number of turns of wire is 66x8 = 528. In 12 pole stator, I think, that total turns may be the same 528 spread on 12 poles.
And, as you said, 19 swg wire is more than enough because we are not using 100/110 watts bulb.
