The picture I have posted here is a photoshop edited one . The engine guard u see here is from Karizma. I posted it just to show you guys how GS would look with an Engine Cowl. And ur other queries have been answered by DCS. Congratulation for deciding to become a GSpian. Looking forward for some beautiful snaps of ur ride...TC

Use kick start in the morning. Also before you start the bike kick press it 3-4 times with clutch pressed and then again without clutch pressed. Then start the bike and kick start it and let it idle for 1 min.
        Thanks buddy.

If anyone of you manages a solution for the lock issue, do let me know.

          Hi Joey,

To lock the bike you have to fully turn the handle to one side and while you turn the key in to lock position shake the handle a little the lock will fall in place. This is normal. Hope this is the problem you are facing. tc

To set the time press both SEL & ADJ button simultaneously for some time and the timer will start blinking . Then use ADJ button to correct it and to correct the minutes, press SEL and then set using ADJ.

                  • Mileage test... After Ist Service

Hey falcon i did test the mileage .. ok first let me tell you guys how i tested .. here it is. first i bought 100 rs petrol and ride for two days till reserve, immediately set the trip meter to zero..

till i reached the nearest pump.. I add correct 1 litres petrol and turn the knob to main and set the trip meter to zero.. (up to petrol bunk 6.4kms.ok)

after filling correct 1.00 litres of petrol.. my bike runs till 55kms and came to reserve .. so that means im getting 61 mileage right.. or is it 49 i mean (55-9) or (55+6)... but to know the correct mileage i have to wait till third service right..

By the stats you provided, the mileage you are getting is 61.4 . Thats a very good mileage bro.

I think both of us bought bike around same time, clocked 1900 till now. I hate to say this, my mileage has gone down to 45-50 . Due to pocket money issues couldnt ride it over reserve level all the time, so no checking of mileage. For the last two days, bike has become very noisy as if there is no lubrication. Checked oil level, though above the min it was all bubbly. Very upset with bike performance at present .

try checking the mileage after changing petrol bunk... like shell, BP

few bunks are selling adulterated petrol!

The right side locks without any issues.

Buddy, you need not set the trip meter to zero twice. You can use this method, which is similar, but simpler.

                                1. Ride the bike till it comes to reserve.
                                2. Once it comes to reserve, set the trip meter to Zero.
                                3. Ride to a good petrol bunk and fill in petrol (atleast for Rs.100).
                                4. Ride the bike till it comes to reserve again.
                                5. Once it comes to reserve, check the trip meter reading. Divide it by the amount of petrol, you will get your mileage.
