No solution yet my friend. I wrote to suzuki thrice already but no feedback/solution from them yet. I think we just have to get used to the issue and live with it.Originally posted by mathewsyriac View Post
Hi Guys!!!!!!
I know that some of us have major milage issues...
So, is there anyone who got this corrected????
I am tired of this,
Fed up of visiting SC frequently...
Should i ask them to change the carb???
If anyone found a solution please reply, what they exactly did to ur bike???

Hi!!!Originally posted by akfara View PostHi yes me too got mileage issue , and Mr vinod natarajan spoke to me i also told about you,He told me that bcos of peak traffic ur bike mileage is suffering,He told me to check CO,bcos more CO means more fuel into the carburator,CO testing is not avail here ,but my SC mechanic called me And fine tuned for mileage I m checking now will update soon, before 3rd service it is 45Kmpl after it is less than 40kmpl,the Sc adjusted the RPM to 1500 for idle now corrected to 1000RPM and adjust air-fuel ratio, Let me see other wise i have to take the bike to pondy 140Km from here after rain is over,
Pls keep update me abt ur bike to share what is done to improve mileage,My no is 9842404365,
Ps-The SC guy in pondy told me That to check it by full tank ,then ride for say 100 to 150km then fill again,If it so how others checking and reported the mileage 50+,he told me there is so many hidden area in tanks, it is filled with our petrol and not used....?????????
Means he trying to tell me flaw in tank design,He also told me more thn 500 bike sold in pondy all of them getting 55kmpl atleast, if so all of them checkng mileage tank full then ride 100-150km and fill again........?????????
Just now i returned from SC...
Since last time they tuned my bike, both mileage and pickup reduced very much...
This time they adjusted the valve clearance also...
Now pickup improved, But MILEAGE???????????
Lets wait n see

thanks a lot for the link.Originally posted by archat View PostHi Dude check the below link. Right side of this u will find the live camera area. u have drop down menu to change the area(camera) as well.. then one more thing they wont telecast live video. But the video will be delayed by 1 or 2 hour. Then the traffic based on area is live u can check this in map. I use this link daily to avoid much travel in traffic areas..

hidden areas in the tank, lol.
all bikes have some unusable part, this is in the bottom below the reserve pipe. and it may affect mileage calculation only for the first time fuel is filled( when you just buy the bike).
after that use the normal reserve method.
Just try different bunks, may be fuel is adultrated or the meters at the bunks are faulty.

Speedy,Originally posted by speed deamon View Postdude sumbody clarify my doubt which semisynth oil is better for gs150r i am trying to fill activ this time is it gud or i shud chek out nyother oil
Like I have mentioned earlier, stick to mineral oil for atleat 8k-10k on the odo & then you can switch to semi synthetic & full synthetic oils. You can try ElfMoto Gold or Gulf.Activ is not good as these oils & so my advice would be not to use it.

Update: 8,000 kms
My GS completed 8,000 KMS. Went in for its fourth service. Costed Rs.319/-. Oil and Oil Filter. The tank has been replaced after I complained about the rusting. Millage is 55 KMPL. The Dealer Dr.Rajkumar Suzuki is superb. Their service is very good. No other complaints.

My past experience with oil says that stick with the usual one, don't experiment unless you are willing to risk the engine. Trust me, if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Suzuki is smooth already, I would advice not to play with the blood (oil) to further smoothen it.

What I mean is no coasting. I know some people who press the clutch the momnet they release the throttle. They think they are saving fuel or something. Do not do that. Only press the clutch when the bike is about to stall or stop or while gear shifting.Originally posted by sanjukoli12 View PostThanks buddy for all the suggestion. Will keep this in mind.
.
I did not get the part where you said don't press the clutch when decelerating. So it means when i want to stop the bike their is no need to press the cluthch.
Did you get your manual? Where did you buy your GS from, Ulhasnagar Showroom? With great Power(and Torque) comes great responsibility.

Hi buddy thanks for the help.BTW i got it from Local Dealer in Dombivli. The ulhasnagar dealer was not very friendly.I got the manual, when i saw insided it was stamped by Thane Dealer. When i read the manual it said to drive below 5000 rpm during the first 1600km.Is it true.Originally posted by BLITZ View PostWhat I mean is no coasting.
