I was thinking the same. will give the showroom a visit soon. cheers mate.Originally posted by ssivakumar.r View Postthat noise is from drive chain... i think it is loose, ask service center to tighten it.
I had posted this query longtime back and got no response whatsoever.
Anybody tried pulsar's split grab rails on the GS ? Both are single nut mounts, guess it should be a straight fit. Anybody game for this ?

A quick update on the rear brakes...
I met a service center mechanic personally yesterday regarding the rear brakes. He said the rear brake's spring has been designed with more tension so we are not getting the bite. He said suzuki's zeus has got better rear brakes. Suzuki has promised the dealers that it will replace the spring of the rear brakes soon... They will call us directly once the parts have arrived to the service center
... Cheer up guys
I even changed the focus of my headlight... Now its far better
To all my fellow GS owners....
GS is my first bike... I am sure its the first bike for many of the guys here..
Its your bike man.. You have to love it...
I can see many owners here who keep on complaining about the bike...
Headlights - I heard even uni has got a bad headlight
Hard Gear shifts - Man... This is a common in most of the bikes... Even the so called smooth commuter UNI too has got it
Leave the case of 3.5k thing behind... Look at the other sides..
>> 6th cog
>> Sexy tail lamps and console - I am loving it day by day
>> gear indicator - I could see my friends envying me on this thing
>> Perfect riding position and comfort
>> Very good mileage - with mixed riding i get between 52-55 everytime
What i feel is that... Since it is the first bike for many guys out here, they are mourning over even some simple issues... Its an usual thing in any bike... Just talk with any of your friend who owns any other 150cc bike... U will find that GS is far better...Ask your friends to ride your bike and get comments from them... I am damn sure that you will get a positive response... Even I too got it from friends... No human is perfect in this world then how come u expect a bike to be perfect in all sense
I want you guys to keep this thread in a positive sense.. It should be a guide to any one visiting this thread to buy a GS... It should not be a spoiler...
Love your bike... Love your ride... You will forget all these very minor issues...
Lots of typing on a sunday morning
Cheers,
Navidh

There is something that I wanted to know. In GS there is something called Economy and Power modes. Is there is any difference between them other than the fact that one blinks that white LED at 4500rpm and another at 6000rpm(i guess) ?? What I mean is, can we feel any difference in performance like acceleration and all ?
I heard some people improved headlight by adjusting the beam. Can you people tell what exactly you people did ?? I mean, you brought the beam angle closer to the tires ??Last edited by kumarprabhatn; 07-26-2009, 08:01 PM.

Hey sorry Siddhv, I couldn't come online so didn't happen to see ur query. You said u're booking tomorrow on 24th and today is 26th. Lets take it one by one.Originally posted by Siddhv View PostHi all I have been following this thread for the past 1 month and going through the valuable comments.
Finally I have decided to buy or book this one tomorrow. As this is my first bike which i am buying i am really excited about it. I wanted to Know about few points from the senior members.
1) Which showroom is better in pune Swargate or Kothrud.
2) Mode of payment. should i go for that 0% percent scheme OR I haved managed to save the cost of the bike from past months. Use That.
3) Points to be considered while taking the delivery (Rc book .. which documents to be collected from the dealer)
1) I personally find both are good. I bought from Kothrud Suzuki bcos its at distance of 2 minutes from my place. abhi_gsr is the Swargate customer, u can contact him.
2)animeher seems somewhat unhappy with this scheme. U cab contact him for details.
3)Just look some pages behind, there are many things to see. u should look at tank rust (didn't find in Pune thought) and battery acid leakage.
You might have got bike delivered by now, but still its my pleasure to answer them as a Pune GS150R owner.
Let us know what you decide.
To all:
I went today with friend on a trip to a place called Madhe Ghat, 80 km from Pune. Place has some historical importance. Point is, my GS got tested today in really really worst conditions. Some of the worst road and weather conditions my GS experienced today. And the most exciting part is I attained the speed of 116 km/h and overtook Audi A6..
Lol.. I will write the detailed report and upload photos in 2-3 days.
Happy and safe riding.
And,
Well said Bubbly !!!!

crap...showroom guys will tell you stories..you could have done the oil change for yourself. But better to stick to company suggested oil till your bike completes proper run-in.Originally posted by neelesh View PostI have a black gs150r bought on 12th july, had changed the engine oil at 250kms and will do so again at 750 kms first service, but the starnge thing is i had can of motul oil 3000 4t plus 20 w 40 same as specified by suzuki and wanted to put the same in the bike but the manager at aryan motors airport rd bangalore refused saying the warranty will be void if i do so,Is he right ? i had to put the oil they use , please help2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

second service update.....
Gave my bike for second service on 3100Km,I also give philiphs extrexme power bulb and 2 led pilot lamp(glow like xenon, which i removed from sold pulsar, which was execelent power in my old pulsar) to replace the original halonix bulb as well as the orginal pilot lamp.
After service i find the bike is more smooth, also power of head lamp with philiphs improved by small margin 5%(but in bulb its written 30% more power 35/35 only),but in case of pilot lamp even the stock bulb is glowing nicely, where as the led(white type) glows very dim.
good to hear suzuki going to replace brake spring for all Gs150R.
I also want suzuki to replace its weak coil to provide good lighting for this bike should they do....?
Is making pilot lamp to DC will drain the battery......??????ABDUL KHADAR

Changing the bulb will not void the warranty.
Prospective suzuki bike buyers from Pune, don't go for kothrud suzuki. My post on the same matter will be on display after the mods approve it. And don't go for schemes etc if you don't want the risk of headaches.

ABT Suzuki chennai arranged financing for me from IndusInd bank for part amt of the bike. Interest rate came to approx 11-12 pct all-in since processing fees was flat, and loan amt not large. Good service though - the cheque for loan amt was with the dealer in 3 days. Problem-free experience.Originally posted by animeher View PostProspective suzuki bike buyers from Pune, don't go for kothrud suzuki. It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.
