  • Today i faced a different issue, not in my bke in my reg:number.

Mine is KA 53 L 250 which is informed by showroom guys after 6 days of delivery over phone, and the same is dispalying in my num plates also.

Today i saw a R1 which has KA 53 L 398 and in the same series KA 53 L 1199...LIKE 4 digit also on road which older than my bike ...approx 1 year old......i got confused and doubted about my num/series...when i contact the show room person he said urs is right number.....how it can happen?

again show room peoples told me to call tomorrow ,mean time he will confirm with the RTO once again.. guys just think about if the number is not mine and if something badlly happened to me or by bike on road............i cann't imagine what will happen...

now almost 20 days over bike @ serice centre for 1st service....still the number is in confustion.....my sc guys told my RC will reach after 30-50 days only mean time how peoples are confirming ur numbers...

kindly suggest me how to proceed...

    • Dear Vesan, there is no reason to go paranoid.

it is quite possible that a bike newer than yours can have a relatively older number. and the reason is when exactly the files were put up at the registering Authority. It is quite possible that your file was put up later than that R1s. Chill maar yaar, Yahan sab kuch chalta hai...!
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

              • Hi Vensan,

I do not think it is a problem..... I feel some guys might have coughed up more money in order to get a fancy number. If the guy has a R15 he would have shelled 1Lac and probably shlled a little more to get a fancy number like 1199.
well not sure of the Splendor though.

Or one sane explanation may be that the RTO has alloted some range of numbers to that particular brand. Say 1000-3000 HH, 3000-4000 Yamaha, 4000-6000 Honda and so on. So they might have allocated a particular range for suzuki too and your nmber is in that range.
It helps the RTO too to keep the numbers in track and they can immediately come to know the make just by the number.

Just like we do in our office to allot drawing or design numbers

Some sense of mordernisation might have gone into their heads.

                Just my thought though.

                • Relax Vensan, and enjoy your premium number free of cost

Even if in case something happens, it's RTO's and dealer's fault, you are not guilty.

Hey Vensan.. chill man... no need to bother here... it happens and its common... it all depends on RTO office... u have to bother only when u see the same number with other bike (which is very much possible in bangalore and i have seen it... dont know about other areas). until u find your number on the other bike just relax and enjoy your ride

                      • You don't feel that GS150R's horn is enough?? That's surprising! I think the stock horn is the loudest stock horn in Indian motorcycle.

I feel Pulsar horn is more louder than GS. I have a pulsar150 DTSi and it has got a really loud horn well I did not modify or anything like that.

I test drove the GS last week and checked the horn although it is loud it is not as loud as Pulsar. It gives a more cuter sound than Pulsar.

The horn in Pulsar will scare me itself sometimes.

The GS is really awsome man. It is really smooth. Gears are top notch, at least in the TD bike.

I have decided to buy the GS. But not so soon. Prob next month. Hope by that time i will get more reviews.
