i hear a thud sound when i shift from 1st to 2nd...but it comes only when i shift above 4500rpm or when im climbing a steep ascent...but this is only for 1st gear....all other shifts are very smooth....the sound does not come if im shifting below 4500rpm...

i think the ideal rpm 4 shifting is 4000-4500 on empty roads...but its best to shift at 3000-3500rpm when u r in slow moving traffic as the engine braking will be lesser and youll feel more comfortable..

Did you really replace two tanks??? This is annoying.
Welcome wingrider anytime. I do not know how much will it cost you to repaint the grabrail. You can always visit some automobile painting garage & enquire with them.

And yes I have replaced two tanks as I said earlier, the third tank which I am currently using will also be replaced in some days,as the service centre guys have not received it from Delhi.

      Till then Happy riding.

If you see the chain cover my friend it is mentioned there.I cant remember the figure riding solo but riding pillion it would be 25PSI front & 33 PSI rear. I generally keep 24PSI front & 32 PSI rear.

Hey Buddy.....that's really shocking to hear ....thanks to god that you escaped with minor injuries.....
These drunkards are really a problem....they either drive and cause accidents or come in between some vehicles and cause accidents...somehow they escape unhurt....
Please take care buddy....I know it hurts a lot to see such damages on a new bike....
But you are OK that is important....Please take care and drive....I also agree that the bike is so smooth that you do not know when you reach 80 or 90 speed.....so just be careful in cities....

Take care...and update about your health...wish you and your bike a speedy recovery.....

Thanks to the forum members for helping me choose a good bike

Hey Bro...congrats man....you have done a good choice....

Is it only 66,500/- on road in bangalore?? You purchased at airport road..right....did you get any offer on that..??

like in pune where they are giving 3000/- Rs off....

Do you get all the accessories of the bike along with it?? or is it only the bike....?? Did you get any teflon coating...??

You know what I enquired in Rajkumar Road, Rajajinagar and the price is 68,500 without the accessories....
and if you need accessories they charge another 1000/-...so the final price will be around 69,500/-

a difference 3000/- in the same city....

Guys the fellows in the showroom .....considered the number plate also in accessories (optinal???)

when I bought my Pulsar 3 years back the number plate came with bike...I never even thought of it as a accessory...
never in bajaj showroom they charge ofr number plates.....

but in the suzuki showroom they told me that it cost extra....

Anyway i will be purchasing my new bike next month...i wanted to buy this month...but my parents told me that it is not a good time and all those stuff and told me to buy next month.....so waiting eagerly for next month.....

                        • Front Wheel puncture

i had my GS front wheel punctured Day before yesterday..

When the puncture guy removed the front wheel, to my amazement the bike started falling on the front.. means the front is heavily loaded... had a hard time finding a huge cement slab to keep on my rear seat to keep the front hanging..

now i have not experienced front falling.. i have seen many bikes on the roadside with front wheel removed stading on the backwheel and stand...

i this peculiar to GS due to improper weight distribution???

sorry to hear that bubbly. thank god your are fine. wish you and your bike get well very soon ! and hope you dont do 90kph again in the city. I also crashed a bike once a few years back, and had to undergo a couple of small surgeries also to set things right in my thumb. You seem to be much better off though ! The experience has made me a sober driver now...

We need to be very careful on this bike driving in 6th gear inside the city.. the temptation to speed is quite a lot since the bike is so smooth even at high speeds.

                            ownership update:
my odo has now done 700kms.. not been checking FE coz of laziness for the last 300kms. but my feeling is it has reduced to 40kpl levels. Not been driving particularly frugally also. My service is now due - will have to find time and give it next week some day. Bike running smoothly overall. getting some attention also on the road .

The other day when I sat on a tvs victor, I realised how big the GS really is. The victor felt like a kiddie bike after the GS !

                            cheers
                            Srinivas

It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.

Buddy, i am the one who had the Battery Leak Problem and got it from Swargate. I think you referred to me as Sagar aka Shadowfax by Mistake. I am abhi_gsr aka Abhishek. .

What is the name of the Sales Guy who knew this Incident? Do you recollect?

Their Service is Nothing to boast about. It's OK. The Chain Cover on which the Battery Acid Leaked is still not replaced. One of the Service Center Guys told that he will contact me in 10 Days, and this was 2 Months ago. But nobody contacted me from Suzuki. I also sent E-mails to Suzuki but no Response.

My 2nd Service is due in a couple of Weeks. Am planning to directly call Suzuki Gurgaon and have a word with the Service Head of Western Region before giving it for Service so that all my Issues get addressed.
