Hello there.. I finished 780kms on odo and also 1st servicing. Some points noted..
1. Vibration at 3500rpm reduced slightly
2. Headlight focus made low. (Now I can see light on the road, though not strong enough
)
3. Clutch is smoother
4. Gave an machine oil polish and purchased a full body cover
5. Totally costed me 900 bucks
Anyways I wanted to know what is average speed/rpm I can go now? I used to drive at avg of 53kmph before 1st servicing.. Can I drive at 60kmph now without revving my engine too much ??
By the way, anyone getting approx 60kmpl driving with avg speed of around 60kmph
??

Hi All,
Hi all,
I have completed 24xxkm in odo. Only 4 days there to complete 3 months.
Is that ok to get 2nd service done?
It was mentioned 3500km in the book.Suzuki GS150R(Balck) 2009- 2012
Yamaha R15 V2(LE white) 2012 and Honda Dio V2 Matte

Guys, Im working on gear shifting technique without thud. I noticed something. Got some success. I will post it after practicing.
I think that is the sound of piston. And don't worry, all bikes produce such sound at high speeds. The sound gets lesser more u ride in that range. Because I think some parts rub on each other and get smoother. Don't worry. Its normal with all bikes. Only unicorn has less sound than GS, but it does have it.Originally posted by Augustine09 View PostHey man... I also have this problem of getting some wierd sounds from the engine when I raise more and more..... Thats y i was curious to know... Can anybody throw some light on this sound from the engine ???
Hi Vivek, u should get servicing done asap... how many days are over from purchase date ?Originally posted by vivek_k_p View PostI have completed 24xxkm in odo. Only 4 days there to complete 3 months.

1. Sound and vibrations increase dramatically after 62kmph. Infact I can feel the vibrations below my feet and hear loud sound even though I have worn helmet.
Any solutions ??

now i have not experienced front falling.. i have seen many bikes on the roadside with front wheel removed stading on the backwheel and stand...
i this peculiar to GS due to improper weight distribution???
i agreed with ur point of weight ,but pushing front is not a improper load distibution....i can say then and then only the load is distributed equally.....other bikes will fall back side,it means the load is given only back side...when even load distribution if u remove one tyre that side defenatly will go down......i also had puncture..3 times (25 days old bke, front tyre)....now i seen soem cracks in my front tyre.....i will post the pics soon....will they change my tyres?

My opinion about mileage-
If u get say 60 kmpl one time that does not mean you will get same or near to it every time. Similarly, if u get 30 kmpl does not mean every time u get same mileage. Mileage depends on infinitely many things. Your riding style, traffic, speed-RPM relation, solo/pillion, tire pressure, fuel quality, use of clutch, etc all things affect mileage more or less. And the break-in period is also important.
My mileage is varied from 28 to 57 kmpl. On an average, daily ride I get 45-50 kmpl. Sometimes 35-40 if traffic is more.
The company given mileage figures are obtained from "ideal conditions" and some times under ARAI controlled enviornment. So if u get that figure, means ur riding conditions have matched with the conditions under which the bike is tested for max mileage. That max mileage figure is used for advertising.
Pls let know if I've missed any point. Or correct if Im wrong.

For me the mileage figures are always same....Originally posted by Shadowfax View PostMy opinion about mileage-
