Not an issue buddy... Its common in all bikes... Even I was worried about that initially.. When i found that it was similar in my cousin's CBZ-X, I was damn satisfied

Looks like a loose contact in the switch, maybe due to rains. Get the switch assembly opened&also get the wire tips ground, that should do it. If the problem persists, get the switch changed under warranty. Even without warranty it is not expensive.Originally posted by Arun Prasad View Postguys.. my bike get started wihtout any problem. only if i lift that engine on/off switch ( red colour) right side a bit upwards say some 2 or 3mm upwards.. if that switch pressed completely downwards against on.. my bike didnt get start.. i think there is some fault in that switch. this problem rises only if didnt start my bike for days together.. if i use my bike daily.. that problem doesnt risse..i had this problem even before my first service... i asked that serivce guy to rectify it. but they didnt do anything i guess.. what to do now.. is that a really fault in that switch.. if so.. am i want to wait untill my second service??Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Well... I have started to reach the 3 figures often in my speedo these days
... Here are my experiences with our competitors....
GS Vs RTR
With initial pick up... RTR goes a long way ahead... We know very well that GS cant help us in this scenario
.... If we shift gears at high rev then we can easily beat the RTR (only in the long run)
GS Vs P150
Initial pick up wise P150 has only a little edge over than GS...If u can do the shifts perfectly... Bang.. you can kick them right at the start up... If u miss P150 in the initial start, you can easily overtake these fellas later.... Our 6th cog does the work here
GS Vs UNI
Man.. These guys are strict followers of Gandhiji.. I mean non-violence
... Never had a chance to test with these guys... They will be going on a constant 60Kmph without disturbing anyone
.... They keep themselves aside from the 150cc fun
The above comments are from my experience... I am not targetting any particular bikeLast edited by Bubbly; 07-22-2009, 11:08 AM.

Hey Arun I also had the same problem. The service centre told me that there were no spares and was not able to fix it.. He also told that He'll call me once the spares come but its been more than a month and no calls... I'm also feeling the heat of unavailability of spares...Originally posted by Arun Prasad View Postguys.. my bike get started wihtout any problem. only if i lift that engine on/off switch ( red colour) right side a bit upwards say some 2 or 3mm upwards.. if that switch pressed completely downwards against on.. my bike didnt get start.. i think there is some fault in that switch. this problem rises only if didnt start my bike for days together.. if i use my bike daily.. that problem doesnt risse..i had this problem even before my first service... i asked that serivce guy to rectify it. but they didnt do anything i guess.. what to do now.. is that a really fault in that switch.. if so.. am i want to wait untill my second service??

Hey shadowfax... I can just give a rough figure....Originally posted by Shadowfax View PostCan somebody tell me what are the ideal rpm to change gear to reach 100 kmph ? Till now i've reached 82 kmph in city. Im planning to ride on highway this weekend.
1st upto 3K
2nd upto 4.5K
3rd upto 4.5K
4th upto 5 - 5.5K
5th upto 5.5K - 6K
probably if we had a seventh gear, I would sugggest to shift on 7Krpm
You will reach 80Kmph at around 6K - 6.5K... So 100 at 7.5K is possible....

Hey thanks Augustine, I will try. Though I scare to ride fast in rain and roads are wet.Originally posted by Augustine09 View PostHey shadowfax... I can just give a rough figure....

I dont think that the problem is due to rains because I had this problem even before my bike was hit by rains.... This could be one of the bugs...Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostLooks like a loose contact in the switch, maybe due to rains. Hey If its raining heavily, its not advisable to cross 70 or 80 Kmph. If it is a slight drizzle then 90 should do and I'll never suggest to cross 100 on wet roads.Originally posted by Shadowfax View PostHey thanks Augustine, I will try. Though I scare to ride fast in rain and roads are wet.

Hi don't worry ,its happen to me too but later it improved to 58-64kmpl average, this is may be a bug in reserve knob or something.Check ur bike with 100ml bottle with no petrol in carburator(which is done by service mechanic in bottle),u will know ur mileage.......ABDUL KHADAR
