Hi kartic@ I discuss about the remote problem,he told other company(say pulsar) bike self start will start the bike without pressing clutch on neutral, but in GS150R we have to press clutch,so the wiring diagram they given in manual will work fine for other bike, i mean bike won't start in first gear using remote start, but in case GS 150R we have to do some other way than they given in manual, while i go service while he doing that i will call u he will tell that in phone....Last edited by akfara; 07-15-2009, 11:56 PM.ABDUL KHADAR

Change to what ? Can we directly fix any 55W/60W bulb instead of our 35W ? Will it cause load on battery ?Originally posted by mrsrini View PostHi Kumar,
guess your figures are more or less at par.. I have got my first mileage (my odo is at 120 kms) as 55kpl.. 50% drive through city traffic, 50% night riding. Surely it will improve after 1st service. and as far as i know, the only solution for the headlight is to change it!

You cant adjust the focus AFAIK, but you can adjust the angle of the beam. there must be a screw just below the headlamp. loosen it and adjust the headlamp and tight it again.Originally posted by kumarprabhatn View PostHow to adjust focus ?? Will service center people do it if we tell them to do ?
you can use it but it wont be usefull.Originally posted by kumarprabhatn View PostChange to what ? Can we directly fix any 55W/60W bulb instead of our 35W ? Will it cause load on battery ?
. Bike's alternator still can produce only 35W which will not be sufficient for a 60W bulbs to run.

ight up the light
I bought a Pearl Black. I do face the same problem with the headlight beam. Low beam is totally waste and high beam is some what ok. I think nothing can be match with the intensity of Star City's headlight. When they can do in 100cc why cant in 150 cc? Apart from this im still in the break in period and my odo meter reads 275 and most probably i'll give for 1st service by next week.
About the headlight beam adjustment, Can it be done by ourself or by the service centre guy? Any body could throw some light on this?
Cheers!

Good Response from Suzuki.
Hi all,
I had written to suzuki about various isues i faced with the bikethrough their feedback section in their website on Wednesday afternoon. in 2 hours i got a call from Mr. Vinod Natarajan (Service Head, South) from Gurgaon. He listened to me patiently and directed me to ABT , Chennai where one Mr. Kalyan was incharge.
As it is my bike was due for first service, i took the bike yesterday and explained them all the problems in my bike.
My first service along with the rectification of the complaints was done yesterday. the bike feels better after the service, and Mr. kalyan has asked me bring back the bike in case of any issues. Also inthe evening Mr. Vinod Natarajan called me again from Gurgaon and asked me about the service experience and has assured that GS is their special product and they would go to whaever extent to satisfy the customer
I have not riden my bike much after yesterday's service. Would update you all about the same..
Anyways good Suzuki people

Nice to hear that Suzuki ppl are caring for the customers
So is your headlight beam aligned now?
BTW any reviews on Swargate suzuki service? My first service is due, and I am planning to give to Swargate suzuki because of their convenient timings.Last edited by animeher; 07-17-2009, 01:30 PM.

Really assuring to hear that. I doubt if HH can match the same. In fact, I was actually considering the HH Hunk before I went for the GSR. I had gone to the HH showroom on Mt road (Reliance motors) for taking test drive. However, in spite of going there twice, and persistently caliing the sales guy, I just could not even get a TD of the bike because of various irritating reasons - month end, delivery happening, no persons avlble, etc etc. Finally i had to take TD in Adyar HH showroom, which opens only at 10AM practically, even though their actual advertised opening time is 9AM. Had to be unnecessarily late for office. Thus, the overall impression I got was that HH is simply resting on its laurels, and not bothered about customers at all. I thought, if its so difficult to deal with HH guys before the sale itself, then how difficult would be it be after they have sold their baby to me.Originally posted by dhiwakar View PostHi all,

After this when I went to ABT suzuki to take TD of the suzuki GS, I found their approach refreshingly different. Mr ramkumar at ABT very painstakingly took me through the various features of the product.. why it is better than the competition.. He arranged TD. Did not mind when i asked for another TD immediately, because i wanted to check the riding position, more than anything else. ABT were quite efficient in arranging for the loan that i required - bank cheque frm Indus Ind came in 3 days flat.. I got to pick my bike from more than 10-15 pieces parked in the showroom.. They happpily allowd me to check for scratches/rust et all. I am pretty sure, HH would not have allowed all this.
All in all, I am pretty happy with suzuki experience, and hope that it stays the same way even after their sales figures significantly improve from current levels!
Ownership update:
The other day, I went to collect my filled in bike manual. Complained regarding the brakes. The SC tinkered with the brakes - guess they have improved a little. They engineer said that the brake spring is usually tight when new. You need to press hard on it for best results. Not sure if that that is the correct explanation, but since I am not a fast driver, the brakes suffice for now. Will see if things improve after the 1st service.
I have not ridden much on the bike last couple of days since I have a bad cold. Will look to munch a few miles on the weekend definitely.
Cheers!

It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.

Yes i too agree with you that Mr Ram Kumar @ ABT Suzuki is so helpful, friendly and patient enough to us to decide on this bike. By any chance if we have any porblem, how to contact the suzuki people? What's their email id? just on the curious side, how many GS-chennaites are there in the thread now?

Yes ur right, the service man do the exact thing u tell, keeping below makes good light and also more wider, but the intensity is same...
May be this type of headlight will help.....i eager to get like this one, My friend told he saw this bulb in one of the Gs150R here in my town , when he asked where he buy what cost he told kumbakonam and cost 350Rs
