In an effort to save a lady and her child who came from no where in the main road I skid and fell down. ( Tambaram - medavakkam road)

Struggling a bit to walk. My wounds will heal anyway.. but my bike head light assy got scrathes on one side.. also some on front mud guard feel like crying.

Hope you are alright bro.Take care first thing happens whenever a 2 wheeler falls it is a bad day for the head lights. I had One time in my eterno when a Car hit from side i was sliding on the vehicle.

75% of the accidents are just because driver is not attentive the one who hit me was too busy with his phone

        • Thanks guys... we have very stupid people on road...

i noticed a guy riding with messaging something in phone
People who ride in 30-40 will go where ever they wish wont bother about the those who gonna over take.
These stupid pedestrians crossing the road (supposed to be a highway) where ever they like.

In my case, I rode in ~ 50-60 this is my usual speed ppl may say this overspeed but i dont think so. its pretty much normal speed. Lady carrying a baby crossed the road in the darkest part. she was very dark in color also not even a piece of her saree or her baby's dress was bright in color.

When i see her in my headlight beam i was pretty close to hitting her. Though i learn and know i panicked and applied both brakes and didnt pump my front disc. skid like anything. But thank god i dint hit her. which might end up in police case or something. As always pedestrains will blame bike riders only. I shouted her like anything and ppl around helped me.

After this my bike refused to start i dont know why. then i brought back the gear to neutral and moved the bike for some distance and then it started.

          Damages to me
          Front head assy got scratches
          front mudguard
scratches in front brake lever, cross bar, throttle grip

          will cover up with decals...

                • +1 to what akfara is telling i see boys at the age of 14 riding Apache RTR and Fz which just makes me crazy and i just want to go hit there parents.

Parents are to be blamed for this my father didn't even allow me to ride a gearless scooter after i turned 16( License can be acquired for gearless at this age if anyone doesn't know).

I think There needs to be some serious thinking first if any of these kids gets major injurious or anything happens to their life i think parents should forget anything about Insurance minor are will not be paid any and also parents can be sued.

i just don't get the whole idea of allowing Boys around 14 to ride those big looking and mean bikes even if the need is only around your house. Minimum 18yrs has been fixed not because you can't ride before but you are not mature enough.

I am 20 i can still tell that Young blood kicks in sometimes to go fast but i rethink of it.

God help the parents who allow their kids to ride bikes when they are not allowed to legally.

We are in India and most of them don't follow rules
Guys on car blames on motorcyclist and motorcyclists blames it on bicycle guys and pedestrians in a broad perspective view everyone has to be blamed as they didn't act responsibly

Always drive defensively thats the only way to avoid accidents of course thats doesn't work on all times/ cases but vital injuries / damage can be averted

yup. It s reverse actually. at least in the following case lol. if i hit any pedestrians they will ask me for money put in a more decent term compensation even if the cause is their fault.

Thanks akfara you just posted what i had in mind. i have to put seat cover.

And as far the tyres i wanted to try Tubeless so went for MRY zapper - Y same as the stock just tubeless. May be will buy after doing 10+k with this. till that will read again and again the art of safe driving.

But see its almost like i dropped the bike. thats it not big damage or atleast nothing is clearly seen. didnt crash i can cover the damage with stickers. Thing which not shown in pic are scratches in throttle grip ,cross bar front brake lever. which i can touch up with black paint

Guys i dont know why but i did this immediately after reaching home.

in mudguard picture the bottom alone are scratches above is just flash.

And as you see i have many trademarks in my leg. but this time got saved by thick cotton pant and full hand shirt and my shoes. Cos i was coming from office.

I fell down almost after 5 years when i was in college.

Update : Please suggest some design and color to do sticker works. i tried something. please suggest some ideas

                        • Hey Raj,

Try some black color sticker work that will do
and no need to do a big patch sticker work on the front wheel mudguard just a black color border sticker will patch up the scratch

Even at head light small stickers will fix

just take it to the sticker shop those guys they ill make it beautiful

but u need to take more care for the scratches on the third photo
that ill fix it self in the period of times but do take care dude

well, here is my suggestion on the decal part.
(Dont mind the colour, it was just to show the design, you can try white or black )

                            And get well soon.

                            • not bad what falcon suggested but in the headlight decals do on both sides else would look odd and i would suggest decals in black for above and below you can also try to go for the Racing stripes type like the RTR has
