Btw does the bulb flicker now during idling? anyway you have done some cool mods...way 2 go.....

thankz....yup they are direct fit......n try searching for them in any shop which sells products for cars....ask them and if they dont know bout it then tell them that they are signalling lights used in cars....n they behave the same way as the company fitted ones do.....

......just open it and join the wires from the strips)...and i gave the ground to the welded bolt behind the front number plate

.....and placed a switch above the both signalling lights..

As a Birthday Present, got him washed, serviced and then gave a nice Sonax Wax Polish. Got the Rectifier changed to BA Series.
Also, gifted him with a new set of Rubber. Michelin M45 and M62 Gazelle.

He still looks and shines as if it has just come out of the Showroom.
While coming back from Servicing at a Petrol Bunk, a couple of Guys enquired about the Bike and were pleasantly surprised or maybe shocked when i told them that he has completed 1 Year of Ownership.

Am also planning to fit LED's for the Pilot Lamps.
I think i should be able to source it from some shop at Nana Peth.
Does any Pune Xbhpian know of any reliable shop where i can get these?

        Here are some Pics...
        Congrats

seems you didnt driven much (console screen shot shows 5515 Kms)

            • Completed 1st Service

              Hi Guys!!!

It has been a while after I got to write here.... got totally stuck with work. Hope all of you are fine!!!!!

I gave my babe for her 1st service and took it yesterday evening. The drive, gear change everything was smooth. Actually not much of traffic between airport road suzuki to Vinayak Nagar - so I was maintaining the speed in about 50 - 60.

Today I went to cunningham road and back home (roughly around 23 KMS total) It was a pretty bad traffic and so I had to drive in around 8 -12KMH in 1st and 2nd gear atleast 1/3 of the distance, rest was in an average of 35 KMH speed.

I noticed that while returning, I didn't get a smooth feel in any of the gears (Like you know which speed which gear is fine from ur experience - this time I had to drive in the next gear to get that smoothness i.e. normally 25KMH speed will be smooth in 3rd gear today I had to take it to 4th gear to get the smoothness)

Finally when I reached home and came to neutral, the sound of the bike was very high like some old bikes... (normally I almost don't hear the engine sound at all in neutral) Also there was lot of clicking noise from the engine after I switched off the bike and the engine part was very hot!!!! (I have heard the clicking noise before also...but felt today the number of clickings were more.

I know very well that I need to take to the service centre again today....but if any of the experienced once give some gyan as to whats happening then it would be great....... Please!!!!

i believe that clicking noise is normal. AFAIK it is coming from silencer not the engine.

i even noticed this sound in CBZ . i believe it will come in all 150+ CC bikes.

                  • It is the catalytic converter in the silencer doing its job of cooling. Relax, its a good thing.

                      • @maestro the problem actually running through some cash crunch and my father wants me to buy a Honda Uni since he is a Honda fan since he has been owning a Honda from 2003 First eterno then Activa . So actually after i took over the Eterno from Him i have gone to SVC and not satisfied. 2nd Uni is priced at 62k the CB uni which just launched and waiting period of 4 weeks and also 62k not ready to pay for some minor upgrades they did from previous version.

But my Father told Suzuki ?? He told they have just come last year what about engine Realibilty etc now i told i know guys who are owners and are satisfied but lets see what happens.

But i do take my fathers word seriously he has been Riding 2 wheelers for almost 35 years + now can't count out the experience out. I think with my fathers driving i feel more safe than mine anticipation over the years is excellent.

As for me adrenaline rush kicks in sometimes :P
But it is like this my heart say GS and mind Uni lets see which wins within few weeks

The new uni has some pretty major changes dude. (major cosmetic ones atleast).
And i dont think its 62k.. it might be more than that..

You were talking about the unicorn dazzler right ??

                          @all:
One of my friends (orkut friend actually, havent met him in person) had got a new piston and bore after complaining a lot about engine roughness and knocking problems..
He just finished the run in period with the new bore, seems the new engine blocks have major improvement(tested upto 100km/h speed) over the old bikes and there is no knocking problems or roughness anymore..

Does anyone from airport road suzuki(b'lore) have this engine roughness problem ??
We all could approach the service centre together and give a complaint. i've tried telling them(3 times during last 3 services), but i guess they dont understand what i say, or they just downplay the issue and say it seems normal only !!!!

Also, if anyone sends a mail to suzuki regarding this issue, please post updates over here as even i would like to know how to approach the suzuki people and sound convincing enough to get some attention..

Just out of curiosity, do many people in this thread have the roughness issue or is it only few of us ?? (only 2009 models)
