    Gud luck
Though i don't drive in rural Roads Crowded area yes Turn on any corner in Delhi you will find that.Yeah Have about 15days time to decide though with Honda launching Dazzler I have started thinking. The Only Problem with GS is that people are getting variable mileage and some have complained about harshness in Engine after 6000RPM this is not only for people in xbhp but also others.

    • hey everyone.........

its a nice morning to write bout mah experience.....

yesterday i took mah beauty cum beast for a looooong ride.......i stay in kalyan(Mumbai)......i went to kasara....around 80-85 km frm mah home.......i started at around 6:30 in morning....i used NH3........till i reached the junction i drove mah bike in eco mode.....then as i was on the EXPRESS HIGHWAY i turned it to power mode......suddenly after that i felt like m using some other bike...as the pickup n all were improved........i was literally gliding at 70kmph i mean no vibs just like bike was in air.....with no noise.....we were like 8 frnds on 6 bikes............then out of nowhere suddenly a pulsar went ahead...and the pillon rider was making funny faces....i increased mah acceleration.........and as soon as i crossed the 6k mark i was feeling like a rocket.......and the bike went vrrrrrooooooommmm.......in no time i was at 118kmph and just kept looking at dat pulsar guy as he disappeared in mah side mirrors......wud have gone further had it not been a highway police car i saw frm a distance....n i had to brake n slow down for mah dear frnds to come.....
i just passed by the police car and the driver started his car's siren...n overtook me.....i thought m gone now.....and to mah utter surprise...he just stopped mah vehicle to know the price, mileage n specs of the bike....n then he smilingly told me not to drive above hundred(seems they had placed a speed gun somewhere) and left me.......yes he left me!!!!!!!
then i spent mah day cooling of at the frnds farmhouse n partying.....while returning i was not surprised by the onlookers looking at mah beauty........

well......has ne one found out ne good headlight in 35/35w category........

and one more thing just have a look it......Suzuki GS-150 (Best bike in Pak) - PakWheels Forums

I took the bike again to SC and they did something for 2 hours - making me wait downstairs and finally told me that there was a small issue and we have rectified it.

I took back the bike... and realised I have bigger problems

        1. Since I had complained about the sound and RPM being > 2000, I think they have reduced to the bare minimum and the vehicle gets off every time I reduce the speed to minimum.

        2. The vehicle is not smooth at all in any of the gears, it feel a stiffness and vibration (the ones you get when you are in higher rpm at lower gear ) in almost all the gears.....
Eg. It becomes very difficult to maintain 4th gear after 35km/h and maintain 5th gear after 47km/h....Even in 6th gear I am able to feel that stiffness and vibration (which was definetely not there before I gave it for service) and when I come down from 5th to 4th gear @ 30 -35 kmh speed, it felt it was kind of chocking (similar to what will normally happen if I am change to 3rd gear suddenly at around 60km/h speed). I don't know how to explain this to the service person, so that he will understand. Please help me.

@ Falcon: I am not sure if this is what you mean by engine roughness.... If so, I am with you.... Infact I am planning to take the bike again to the Airport Road Suzuki SC tomorrow and ask them to check it again.

I feel I should have given the bike for service itself
About the bike turning off, try adjusting the idle screw. adjust when engine is hot and keep it to 1400, this way it will be around 1100 in cold condition so your bike wont turn off.

When you mean "cant maintain 35 in 4th gear" are you saying the bike jerks when you accelerate or leave the throttle, like how it happens at 10km/h in 1st gear ??
I guess i experienced that too but i use clutch when i want to leave the throttle so the transition reamins smooth, and i think its pretty normal in all bikes.. (not too sure, i noticed that it happens in my friends pulsar too)

about the vibrations, are u talking about a tak tak feeling in footrest. because thats what i notice..
And did you change the engine oil while giving for servicing ??
I have a feeling that the SC oil is very sad..!!

My bike was smooth with shell mineral oil but after getting back to this SC oil my gear shifts are horrible, makes a sound and its hard to shift(lower gears especially).

Anyway please update on what the SC tells after checking the bike.

Its not very easy to explain, but its something like, in the mornings when i just start my bike, its smooth and the sound from engine is less. but as i ride for more than 6-7 kms and the engine gets hot, i can feel more vibrations on the footrest and at idling i can hear some tak tak sound(most probably from the valves) and the overall sound from the engine is also more(tappet noise as told by SC).

Teflon coating is just a wax coating that is rubbed on with a machine and rotating brush.. (hides minor scratches, makes the bike shine more).

tak tak sound present in bike too... i will hear when the bike about to switch when i start in the morning... around 1k rpm u will hear the tak tak.. thats y they advising to make the idling some where between 1300-1500. if you start on choke or if you give mild throttle the rpm will be above 1k then tak tak wont come.

after engine gets hot that sound wont come. as it will come to idling accorind to the setting in the carb (that screw)

I heard even Ceat Vertigo is coming in "18" now

gee nice b'day gift she looks swanky clean

@rajesh sending Pm with the no.
Thanx Adi. Yes. Michlin are Soft Componds but have heard many good things about them. Am quite happy with the Grip and Performance offered. It has kinda got a Macho look to it. The Sirac would have been even better but it does not come in stock size. The Tyre Guy told me that it will last more than 30,000+ Kms. Cost of M45 and M62 are 1800 and 1450 respectively.

                Thanks adi got the number.
Yeah. I always had my mind on the Grey. And i loved it when i saw it the first time. Yeah... i have had very less running for the first 10 months of Ownership. Covered only 4000 Kms in first 10 Months. Mainly due to the reason that my work timings used to be odd and i used to go by Car to work. But off late, i have been riding a lot on my GSR.
That's a good mileage you have covered in 3 Months.

Anyways after you changed to BA series of rr unit, did you notice any change? Or it looks the same to you? Also whats the cost of M62 without the tube. I guess this tyre is good for offroading as well as city roads. Is that right? Ride safe and rock on. Raj
Thanks a lot Bro. Your answer is in the above reply to Rajesh.
After changing to BA Series, i can say that there is a slight increase in the Brightness of the Headlamp. I could not compare it properly to the AA Series, as i had not taken snaps before the RR Change. That would have helped. I took the M62 with Tube and it costed me 1450. Without tube, it's 100 Rs. less. Yes, the purpose of the Tyre is correct what you quoted .

Will keep you all posted regarding my Journey with my GSR.

                • The difference in BA and AA series in low RPMs is very noticable. Even in high RPMs, BA series gives good light.

around 4300kms, bought it in august 09.

Dont get a bad impression of the bike after reading all these posts bro..
Because i've noticed my friends unicorn has more vibrations than gs150, even with these mild vibration problems i've written about..

I'm just mentioning them because its weird that the bike behaves one way in cold conditions and another in hot conditions..
and i guess this problem isnt there in new models coz my friend who got a replacement bore and piston said his bike has become really smooth now.

I'm not talking about that sound.. the thing you mentioned has something to do with chain at rpm less than 1000..

The tak tak sound i was talking about was actually some vibration along with mild tak tak sound(the sound cannot be heard in traffic, only in quiet areas) but the vibration can be felt on footrests and gear lever/brake lever in the same tak tak pattern i mentioned... (this is only during idling, after engine is hot)

Someone mentioned that it was mild engine knocking problem, though i'm not sure whether thats a right term to use or not..

                        • I'm facing the same problem as falcon. The bike is very smooth when engine is cold, when it gets hot the engine becomes noisy and harsh. Gear shifts require more force than usual.
Before arising the problem here, i rode FZ and Unicorn . Gears shifts have a precise feeling in both of them. In GS some shifts are very smooth but some are rough. When ridden for long duration say over 30 mins gears develop a spongy feel and i have been getting mis shifts from 5th gear to 6th gear where the gear indicator goes blank and the rpm shoots up. But even with these minor problems, riding GS is sheer fun with its lovely seating position and the feel of stability....
I'm not sure about this "the collar which engages the gear seem to have less number of teeth in GS", but in FZ and Uni even if the bike is in rest gears can be changed and its easy to find neutral. Please correct me if I'm wrong
