Don't ask dealers to change RR, they will give all sorts of reasons. Send a mail to Suzuki, asking about the change. They will tell dealer to call you for the replacement.

        • Hi,
I'm posting in the forum after some time.

Anyway, I used shell advance fast trac for around 250kms now.. the gears have become smoother, but there's one strange thing.
Sometimes i find all the gears 1 to 6, to be very smooth (compared to unicorn), but then sometimes every gear gives a tak tak sound( like it gets stuck mid way for a second and then shifts).
So if 1 gear is smooth, all of them are, but if one gets off calibration, all seem to get affected.

Any idea what the reason could be ? i told the SC to check chain during last service, and that gears are hard, they said if u tighten chain it'll be fine.

And also, My R2R mileage came up to 34kmpl last time.
I had filled 9.21lt of fuel one month ago, Hardly rode the bike for that one month, and inbetween that R2R period i gave for servicing and checked mileage with can(which came up to 47)..

Does the tank allow lot of fuel to evaporate or could it have been the SC who stole petrol. About 2 to 2.5lt of fuel seems to have gone missing. I'm checking R2R again to verify if there's any leaks in the tank.

Rightly said.. only those brand of oils such as Mobil, Motul, Gulf will last longer in our GS.. Any idea about the oil which i am using MOTO 4 GOLD ELF .. Initially after oil change it was damn smooth.. but after say 300 kms-400 it is not as smooth.. wat about GULF PRIDE 4T plus.. any idea owners..?
gulf is somewhat better than SC oil. but not fully satisfied . planning to go with full synthetic

dude .. d same thing happened to me n my friend also(Hyderabad)... i put petrol for 500 rs and it returned oly 270

for ma friend it returned 250 in dazzler...

then i checked with 2 litres.. it returned 92 in city driving.. so these petrol pump guys all over program their pumps to fill exactly for the first 2-3 litres, then they reduce d amount for subsequent litres.. heard of it, read in news papers many times but oly recently experienced 2 months back

              So beware..

wat do u think guys in putting FZ doom for GS.. my friend has done for his unicorn and it looks real sexy

Ok. in that case for b'lore guys, beware of the indian oil bunk on old madras road near indiranagar rto. I dont think they fill petrol properly..

After the fuel price hike i think i'll fill only shell as the prices are more or less the same. I filled shell at Rs 58.95/litre 2 days back. I think in other bunks its 58.26. so shell is only worth it..
The free air filling will make up for the extra cost too

For the fz fairing, dont you think the fairing will be too thin for our bikes big headlight ?? i feel it might look too small for our bike.

Make sure you are removing all the mineral oil from bike before filling it with synthetic
for best result switch to Fully synthetic while changing the oil filter

                    • hey guys , done like 340 kms till now
i want to share few things with you guys
                      1. I changed the idling to 1.25 from 1.5 last sunday. n surprsingly it kinda lowered even more n i didnt notice .. i mean if i start engine it gets switched off even in traffic i was wondering what it coud be....now i check the idling i raise it back to 1.25 now its PERFECT in PICK UP N everything
2.Petrol. Now i didnt fill my tank much. i keep running on daily basis100- 100 then 50 50.. approximately i have 1 bar always on. sometimes blinking. now im planning to fill for 300 , SO TELL ME A GOOD PETROL BUNK IN AND AROUND TNAGAR OR ONE THE WAY TO KARAPAKKAM(OMR)
3.What is the difference between SHELL AND SPEED?
4.Which are all the places likely to cheat mainly in tnagar
5.My local mechanic saw my bike n said chain loose.. m WOWED. the showroom guy said the chain loose issue got solved in 2010 model n damn im done only with 345 kms
5.If i go around 15-20 kmph on small speed breakers i hear a CRACK sound at the back. should i go slow like a car on speed breakers (i know my bike is a bull still )

well sorry for late reply but i must say i have had mixed experience 2nd day it came back 3rd day no noise ,but after yesterday's rain back to square 1.Also my mileage dropped to 46kmpl after service can anybody tell is it safe to do carb tuning since svc was telling not to do it.I was thinking of doing myself but i don't know much about the screws people are talking about.if someone can post pics will be gr8.i found the golden screw but don't know about the idling screw.

@shirkky could be swing arm noise oil it and it will be fine.no issues i go around speed breakers at 25-30 sometimes no issues.

p.s i have done 2k with gulf oil it is still looking good.

The new drive chain tend to loosen quickly, even if you tight the chain it will loosen after 1-2K, after two-three adjustments it wont loosen much. Still they will loosen with time and according to driving style. Almost every component in bike have a break in period, engine, transmission, suspension, brakes and even the rider. The sound you mentioned may be due to the loose chain making contact with chain cover.
