About valve noise and RR unit

done valve adjust after

to SC for long time to send feeler guage, yesterday,bike smooth when given me at night, feel again noise coming as ADI told in the morning .... Asked RR unit to replace to SC ,but he told no stock,and This RR unit replacement is for particular batch only

,I told him i will bear the cost

.even doubt to get from SC
turned 1/2 turn anticolckwise and found 107km run in 2 litre compared to 96km before in R to R method , still need time to verify that mileage is true or not...

Yikes!! I can't even imagining riding at those speeds at those gears! For me, it is
10-30 second gear
30-39 Third
40-49 fourth
50-55 fifth
56 above 6th

These speeds are in city. If you want best mileage only, maybe the decision of buying GS was made in hurry! GS's fun lies in its power delivery, so best fun riding while keeping good mileage in city can be obtained using the above speeds.

going for first service

Hi Guys. My bike has completed 1005 kms (in 11 days

)....now she is taking rest and i am searching for good engine oil...checking the thread i found 2 oils suggested by many friends...gulf and motul..is it o.k to change to gulf pride 4T plus or Motul now...

and does anybody use seelin liquid (puncture resistant) in tyres....if so what is the effect ?...is it o.k...does it make any changes to handling and tyre life ?

Yes gulf 4T plus or Motul 20w 40 both or good .yes since both are mineral based oil u can change as u wish....

No idea about seelin liquid....

GS is very OIL hungry

It seems to me that our GS is very OIL hungry.. No oil seems to last longer say 1000kms ( max

).. completed 2 services@ 700,2500 kms.. 3k on Odo.. changed to MOTO 4 GOLD ELF 20w40 (210 Rs) @ 400,1700,2800 kms..

My SC is using the worst oil- Servo oil

(not even the Castrol which is better than servo but worse than shell or gulf).. this SC oil doesnt even last 500 kms.. So everytime aftr service say after 300 km, i change to moto gold(available nearby tats why).. the difference will be awesome compared to SC oil.. butter smooth engine/gears.. But it affects the free revvin nature.. even after riding the bike for some time the engine never seems to waarm up and idling goes back to 1k.. even with this oil, the oil life in GS seems oly around 1000kms..

i think this beast is never satisfied with the mineral oil and the semi-synthetic and synthetic oils are the way o go for this beast..

getting around 45 kmpl in Hyd city riding.. will try carb tuning sometime this weekend.. planning to go for FZ doom for my bike.. my friend has done in his unicorn.. looks sexy

Well guys i took my bike to coll yesterday and i found myself driving @ 50kmph /6th gear most of the time .is it ok if i drive at constant speed cuz i heard someone asking me to changespeeds and driveduring break in period? give me some tips how to keep changing speeds? . i can change speeds in traffic but in empty roads.. or highways its not possible

.... That place is called "International tyre service".. Deals with Motul also. Has got Iridium spark plugs in the show case..... Did not ask about it though....

Motul 300v FL costs around 895 Rs.

And the person there told It'l be good till 7000 Kms.. So think would be a better deal. Would like to check out FL in the near future.

Don't ride at 50 constant. Ride at 60 for 2 mins, then at 45-50 for 2 mins. Repeat

no...there's separate seelin liquid for normal tyres and for tubeless tyres...but it can't be used for tuff up tubes...

Its 195 without bill. addition of VAT (25 approx) comes to 220. I'm OK with it. Where do you get it for 180 ???

Yesterday my close friend turned up by surpirse. So was not able to service my bike. Gave it today. The SC guy said that they are using genuine suzuki oil but I insisted that he use Motul for my bike and he accepted it.

... I gave a list for him to work upon..
1. Check if air filter is ok or needs to be replaced (According to manual, it has to be replaced by 12K kms)
2. Check Suspension oil.
3. Clean carb and adjust float. (Have a feeling that fuel flow is not normal)
3. Clean chain, lunricate and see what causes a noise from chain.
4. Add accessories like engine gaurd (they have one in SC, Will upload pics when I get my bike) and extra grip for handle. dont know how much that'll cost

Regarding the kreech kreech noise its coming even if am not driving if i press the back seat to make some shock-absorber action it gives this sound any idea to fix that

Servo is the oil for 100cc 4 stokes not for 125cc and more,As u told GS is entirely different in OIL section, Gulf and motul then there is mobil super 4T 20w 40 are the oils will cross 2000km mark ......
Nobody except currently mathew, used MOBIL super 4T 20w 40(had in hand not changed), I heard lot of postive from the oil from GS users in my town(as it is used by MY SC),Upto 3000km it last long ,that is i heard from MY town GS owner and feel smooth to drive.....Even in universal thread none discussed about this MOBIL super 4T...
I know MOBIL 1 is full synthetic and imported and avail only for 4 wheelers...
This is i am discussing about mineral oil, upto my knowledge...
About semi synthetic and full synthetic other GS members pls share ur views and tell ur valuable experience with semi and full synthetic oils...
SUZUKI jet cooling, play main role here as per oil usage in OUR GS....

Rightly said.. only those brand of oils such as Mobil, Motul, Gulf will last longer in our GS.. Any idea about the oil which i am using MOTO 4 GOLD ELF .. Initially after oil change it was damn smooth.. but after say 300 kms-400 it is not as smooth.. wat about GULF PRIDE 4T plus.. any idea owners..?

I am currently using Gulf pride,done 2000km,just roughness started but oil looking in dark red color thru oil window will change afer 500 to 750km more ,my odo is 12800km.......change oil filter as well if u opt for gulf(manual suggest to change oil filter every 8000km, but we should change alternate oil change according to me)
ABout this oil , its damn good like u told elf moto 4 gold ,but 2000km is where smooth is losing
