dont think it will void the warranty. I for one have disconnected the pilots and am using osram silverstar 55/60. cost INR 210 in chennai. find that the lighting is better by at least 25%. only disadvantage is that the bulb will glow to full brightness only above 3-3.5k rpm, but am willing to live with the trade-off in favour of safer highway driving. if u dont want to switch to HID, then I would recommend this switch.

@mach50. no its not a test drive vehicle as the odo showed only 32, when i bought it (they took it for reg etc) it was spanking new @ the delivery time. just that i went a hour earlier it wasn't ready, i just got frustrated last night and typed all those because i was so pissed at them forgetting to change the seat (or doing that wantedly) and i had to check n make them change again. Yes the odo showed 32.utter smooth engine what else i need
bike is totally smooth NO VIBES AT ALL m so glad..
I was riding on 6th gear with 40 kmph and the bike just swims around the road so cool !After i came back home i parked the vehicle i hear one tick sound 3 secs break and another tick sound.. is that normal? (this is my first bike, i am used to ride my friends bike all the times)
just 1 doubt about the gear shift. it becomes hard when i try to do wrong gear shifts. its hard some times its loose sometimes.. tell me how to check if gear box is right. im going to SC on saturday to get the tank and mudgaurd replaced as the SC saw us disheartened by a 2 cm scatch on them :P
Don't worry, SMK people are good n polite...
These bikes arrive by truck from gurgon, so will be covered with thick dust on its way
BTW, keep in good relation with the service head of SMK, Mr. Kalyan...

kk went for my 3rd service,this time was able to get hold of the guy who looks into servicing SBk's,he had come from mumbai.Any way he did a whole bike review and fixed most of the issues,told him about knocking sound told he will rectify it and he told himself that it was tappet noise.My Engine Was quite hot so he told tappet needs a cool engine so i had to wait about 1/2.Then he removed the tank and used some kind of blades to adjust tappet.But I am still getting the Sound will see tomorrow morning.Also my bike is stalling sometimes looks like the idle has been set low.
No Fuss About not changing engine oil since i know the guys,total SVC cost Rs 35(since bought a oil filter for future oil change).
If any body has idea about the stalling problem will be gr8Comment

Thanks guys,he changed the whole petrol tank just because it had a small scratch.
yes drove like 120 km already bike seems super smooth i can feel the swim and surprisingly the bike has decent pick up which i really never thought of, after reading forums. the bike is actually a good rip off after few services i hope i'm totally happy n no regrets. just like all the GSRIANS said

this "gulf pride 4t +" is simply awesome ...the bikes behaviour is compeletly diff. than before ..gears are super slick and engine noise has also reduced compeleted some 6500 kms on odo...
this oil is worth for money even if lasts for good 2000 kms..

Yes ,but 10,000km drain period is only for other bikes ,not for suzuki GS 150, I completed 2500km on, now slightly roughness started,But compared to castrol power1 , this oil is very good....Originally posted by performator View Posthi guys

Even me have stalling problem in starting,when ever my engine cools this problem started,But i adjust rpm to 1500 in hot,I get screwdrive stuck in engine like sound before stalling..(which already discussed in thread long back)
Even i ready to pay for CA series,My SC pondy concentrate on Bike sales(which margin is more than CA series RR)

Quick update
13.3K on the odo... going for the 9th free service tomorrow. Bought Motul 3000 4t Plus 20W40 today at gopalapuram, chennai.. Costs around 220. Got 10 Rs. discount .... That place is called "International tyre service".. Deals with Motul also. Has got Iridium spark plugs in the show case..... Did not ask about it though....
Motul 300v FL costs around 895 Rs.
And the person there told It'l be good till 7000 Kms.. So think would be a better deal. Would like to check out FL in the near future.

hey can someone post the gear speed ratio of gs 150r
it is a little frustrating because i shit to 2nd gear at 10kmph(based on the engine feel) and when im in signal or traffic i have to keep changing between 1st n 2nd gear.Comment

Moreover buddy,it also depends a lot on your riding style,my friends at Kolkata Xbhp know the fact well that I seldom shift the 1st gear even when moving from standstill,and even in traffic start-stop conditions,I am always in 2nd gear.........and they always advise me to put the bike in 1st gear as they do on their own machines.I can do 8kmph in 2nd gear and cruise at that speed,take turns and all.
So,ride the bike in a way thats comfortable to you thats all........it will only take some time to get settled in.And also one more thing,dont forget to warm up your engine as you begin the day on your bike.Warm up-means start the engine without raising the throttle and let it idle for atleast 2 minutes,thats all.
