    Hi Akfara,

The Blue light of the pilot lamp in the pic in your avatar, they look cool. Is that Blue LED or normal bulb? Does that fit in to the default holder or did you do some modifications? I would love to get a pair of those. Could you help me out? thks

Crap, my bike went through the entire run in period( and more) with shell petrol only. i think i got a mild heart attack after reading your post because i'm not entirely happy with the smoothness of my bike too..
(i'm yet to compare my bike with another gs150, it might just be my mind playing tricks too)

What were the symptoms in your friends bike that made him realize his engine was spoilt.?
was it anything like mild knocking+ engine roughness at times ?

i dont know abt that dude i think some shell bunks are good and some r bad so cant say but the yamaha ss people overhauled my friends engine and they replaced the piston thats wat he said to me and he said not 2 use shell petrol & its forming some rubber like layer on piston it seems.......so better stick to normal petrol
I can put any Signatures :P

ya dude we are living in india ,some of SC buy oil in drum(500ltrs or 1000ltrs), we are not sure abt its geniune or not(mixed with used oil)(like petrol mixed with kerosene in some petrol bunk)...better buy from reputed dealer a can of 1 ltr, while changing our oil we have to watch, whether they change our oil or what i told in beginning,i know many people including me leave the bike and come back to collect we dont know what they do....Most of SC will not do bcos they will lose the good will.I am not trying to tell its happens everywhere, but somewhere some place they doing only for money purpose, mainly where oil is needed more(eg lorry) and the drum(bike SC buy in bulk)

Ok.. since shell puts lot of additives its possible that the deposits get formed.
Since shell is expensive i've stopped using it now anyway.

You havent done any dc conversions or anything ??
The LED fits in the same pilot lamp holder and works on AC itself ?

Could you specify the name, brand and details about the LED that you have used ? even i'll change if not much mods are required

                    Thanks buddy,

It looks like blue light in the pic. Dunno what it will look like in real time. Anyway if its not reliable then it would be a waste. Is there similar bulbs from reliable company? If yes then let me know. I will try to get it from here in Ernakulam. It would save you a lot of trouble. Just let me know what to ask the dealer. Again thanks for helping out!!

Damn i just test rode the bike from a person who has in my colony not long just 2 min couldn't get the feel of the bike the gears were smooth since he has it for over 7 months now forgot to ask about mileage since he was in a hurry. Will have to catch this guy up and ask him.

But really some previous posts had made me to think.I was supposed to go and book this on 6th may.Now a little bit confused with mileage and other issues

Out of 10 people when 1 of them breakes the law and something stupid happens its news. but when the other nine do what they are supposed to do and have a peacefull life no one bothers. Similarly, here people with problems with their bikes complain to find solutiions. That does not mean all have problems, there are many others who read the posts regularly but dont post anything as they dont have any problems. Moreover the problems comming up here are small ones. All products will have some drawbacks, be it any brand. Else you will have to opt for sbks. But if your luck is that bad(i'm not saying it is) then even if you buy a Hayabusa you might end up with a piece with a lot of glitches.

I have a friend who wanted to buy the RTR for its perky pickup. But his GF and his brother convinced him that the FZ is better because it looks the best and after all its a Yamaha. He now has a FZ, but every time a RTR passes him he looks at it saying, 'I wish I had that!'

So dont worry too much, trust your heart. Buy what you like.

                          • Arey 2 years is the warranty period of the GS. Within that, you dont have to bother. Atleast here in NaviMumbai you point out a fault and the part is replaced! be it rust or be it malfunction. I dont know about delhi. This bike is going to be take me places till i get married, so it'll be there for atleast 5 years.

hmm Leaking for the fuel Cock hmm how much Fuel have u put in ?Did you check if it is due to a overfill or maybe due to some other thing.
Even if the fuel cock has something wrong with it these things usually are made such that even if there lock is not working they have enough weight in them to keep the lid closed. At least my Eterno Does that.
