    Regarding your issues........
    1) Rust... no more rust issue...
I stay im Mumbai.. with gr8 humidity.. and i stay near beach.. but Suzuki have to stay in market and do the business so they have taken care of all the issues they faced in older version..
In my colony other guy having old GS he laso never faced any rust issue....
    2) Average... is a gr8 + point of GS....
i checked bike average last week as mention by Anupdas.... i m getting 65.7Km/Ltr as my riding is on highway only.. then also we can consider 55-56km/Ltr including city and highway which is a decent average for 150cc bike...
    3) riding comfort.... it's like you are floating in air...
the weight is balance so beautifully so you never come to know that .. you are riding on 150 Kg rhino....
and most important no back pain on long drive...

at the end you are the one who are going to decide...
    All the best !!!!!!!!!!!

    Cheers,
    Kiran...

Ya kiran, as u told me too from sea side place completed 1 year no rust issue,
and average is depending on the rider, and also depend on SC guy who tune ur bike ,U see so many guys getting bad mileage due to lack of support from service guy,as i have to mention again i am one of them before later solved by suzuki by sending Main SC from PONDY with CO analyzer.
Ride comport is best in business,if ur in traffic with family and if ur short in height u find difficult to manage it weight in certain circumstances(not in all),
      its a decent good bike

      • Colors of GS 150

        Hi kiran & abdul,

Thanks for the reply, nice to hear from u pple so fast

I feel the colors are limited. i am averse to black . the GSR's on the road ,were full black, candy, greenish blue and grey but when i visited the showroom yday , i found that those colors are mixed with black they are no more full colors the tank is with color i mentioned but the rear sides are black except for grey i think i have to go for the greenish blue or blueish green whatever

should have red /white /silver i prefer silver and green my first bike/moped was Kinetic spark which was green, my yamaha is silver and so my hh passion also .

Probably i may book the vehicle this week perhaps on wednesday . the Showroom pple say it will take 2 days to deliver after registration. i dont know why they take such a time my hh was delivered same day i.e. u pay in the morning by 10 a .m u get the delivery in the eve.

also i found that this vehicle can not have any boxes or no compartments at all . i was wondering where to keep the documents in case any Traffic police pulls us

any one fitted any box on this ?

There is a provision to keep essential documents below the seat . You can also go for a tank cover

              • i gave my GSR for 3rd free service in nandanam ABT on saturday due to work i dint collect it on sat eve. today morning i collected and came directly to office.

things i told him to check,
                1. Tappet noise for this he said it may take more time .. and its not a prob as its very mild. so left it for later
                2. chain and disc pad clean up.

bike is not at all comfortable now.. gear shift is very hard. after reaching office i just moved the rear wheeel... some noise coming that and my alloys are more hotter. guess they tighten the chain too much.

how to adjust it now ? i cant take the bike again for doing this... that small nut on chain side will do right ? i have to adjust that ?

Please let me know. else i have to find a local mech on my way home.

Buddy, only bandit 1250cc is 10lakhs on road.. (its about 8lakhs ex showroom delhi)
the showroom guy was telling me its the cheapest bike above 1000cc in india (cost wise)
The gsx1000r will definitely be more than that..

Sling shot is already launched by the way.. i saw pics of it too. (think on team bhp)
It looked like a total disaster
They tried copying gs150 tank(smaller version though) and gs headlight without visor.

                    hi guys

                      • Guys I have cleaned the chain today myself. Thanks to anupdas for the detailed instructions. oiled the chain and also put some oil on the gear lever. Now its super smooth again! Also got hold of a local mechanic who has agreed to connect the pilot lamps to the battery. I intend to put a 55watt bulb and see if the light improves. Raj

Only spy shot of Sling shot was going around net
It was expected by july it seems

                          @shamshersingh
Am from Bangalore seems the porur SMK is better. :::

Even I was in similar situation my mechanic didn't approved it but I went ahead bought it and gave him a 5 kms test ride you know what happened after that ? Yes he was just stunned by GS150R's performance that's why he recommended 4 of his customers to by GS hope the same story will repeat in your case

More over during the first 2 yrs suzuki will take care of the bikes major issues minor things you can make use of the local mechanic
