Hi Dude,
You cannot turn off the backlight of the console in GSR. It always remains on. When U are in daylight U wont see the light but when it gets dark U can see your console brightly lit automatically. Isn't that cool
? I think this feature is not available in other bikes.

Guys,
I finally got my black GS today evening and spent the evening cruising around the city. I have a small problem with the Idle RPM. It is set at 2k and jumps to 4K after just a couple of kms. I will see if this goes away by monday morning. Otherwise I'll have to take her back to the SVC. I have a small query for you guys. Where do you keep your vehicle documents. I checked underneath the seat but did not find the space to store the so kept near the tail and has anyone considered filling the gap between the seat the the tail with foam?
thanks
Ragav
P.S. will post pictures tomo.

. You can adjust idle rpm yourself
. I think you know where the idling knobe is. Check your choke whether its open
.
Get lost with her..........Keep riding

And i keep my documents under the seat, there's a rectangular box like thing(under the front side of the seat),
i folded the documents and it fits there perfectly.
and congrats on your new bike

By papers you mean insurance and tax rite? Did you get papers on the day or purchase, here (kerala) it takes around 2 weeks to deliver papers and 2 month for registration book. I still havent got RC book. Took a copy of papers , attested it and kept it with riders manual. Thats what SVC guys asked me to.Originally posted by felix.ragav View PostThanks man. I think GS has adequate lighting. Yet I'm planning to install a projector type headlight after some 10k or so ( Have to convince parents
) Other day one R15 guy who had two HID projectors installed gave a high beam and i was literally blown off from the bike
.
Always keep an eye on speedo, you dont know whether you are speeding in open highways. For first 1000k not more than 4500 rpm on any gear( below 60). Common issue, change the petrol bunk and you will see the difference. Try HP and not Indian OilOriginally posted by AnoopGeorge View PostWhen my bike went to reserve i filled exactly 2 litres of petrol and went to reserve again after 45 kms.
...that means the mileage is below 25..

Power and Economy Mode
Hii friends, i always thought that the power mode and economy mode differ only in their notifications
. For the last 2 weeks i have been riding bike in economy mode and today i switched to power mode and found that the engine rev a little faster than economy mode
. So it does control the fuel being fed to engine
?

@ felix_ragav: Congrats again for the new commutourer dude.I can't hardly hear the engine sound in today's ride & i adjusted the idling knob,Is it ok or gone again to 2k rpm ?Failure should never go to heart & success should never go to head, both makes a person to fall in life-Winston Churchill

planning to buy gs 150 r
Hi All
I am planning to buy gs 150 r.I almost zeroed on it.i had earlier plans of going to buy unicorn.I hAVE FEW QUESTIONS.
1)As per your gs 150 r riding experience in what aspects did gs 150 r scores over unicorn.(performance, mileage, looks and reliabilty, second sale vale.)
2)what about ass and spare parts availability(especially in Hyderabad, since i hail from Hyderabad.Any hyderabad gs owners please through light on it)I heard that ass and spare parts availability is cause of concern.
3)Is gs 150 r a hit or flop show,as i hardly see any gs 150 r on Hyderabad roads(till now i saw two).
4)Any rider who had driven both gs and unicorn, please list out the edges the gs has over uni or vise varsa.
I am more concerned with (2).
Thanks,
Bike Aspirer.

In GS there is no active fuel control system other than throttle. Possible it varies the ignition timing to enhance power at lower rpm...Originally posted by Anupdas View PostHii friends, i always thought that the power mode and economy mode differ only in their notifications
