That depends on what oil the SC uses.. ask them which company they use.. because some use castrol, some shell and some veedol..

If its veedol or castrol you could try asking them whether you can bring your own oil, and they'll mostly give some lame excuse saying warranty n stuff,, just tell them its the same recommended grade and convince them..

Shell advance and motul are the best oils IMO..
    Not sure about castrol.

You may have to buy 2 bottles since its first service.. with new oil filter the bike needs 1.1litres.. and dont use synthetic so early, stick to mineral oil itself..

    • Earlier i believed my bike is not consistent in terms of mileage
decided to buy petrol on can's

Its hard to believe that most of the Bangalore petrol bunks are not putting even 40 % of the fuel if you go for 300 Rupees

MRF Zapper Y 100/90 x 18 Tubeless. Some people are switching to this tyre for various bikes depending on the availability. Try if you can get them.

        • hyd biker,

I enquired in a MRF shop they said no tubeless of 18" all they have in MRF is 17"

for tubeless some suggested to Mich sirac ( whic is not actually tubeless) but ppl using it as tubeless.

ZMR's of same spec as i saw in their site but not sure of the brand.

Thanks for pointing that out, Madhu.. It's high time somebody exposed these guys.. Wonder why it didnt get many reactions though.. i mean, i didnt see any follow ups on TV or paper..

All u GS owners out there getting 60+ mileage figures, would u care to mention where u fill up ur petrol from?

I usually get around 40 kmpl on my 2 month old GS (City riding), and max was around 55(City + Highway). Not sure if i shud blame the bunk or wait till 2nd service..

              • @Rajesh, Tell him that it exists and he'd better call up the MRF office and find out when he'd get some stock. If he is reluctant, leave him and try another dealer. Tell them clearly Zapper Y 100/90 x 18 Tubeless.

People try to bully you to buy what they have in stock. Would you believe, after over an year on the road people didn't know about R15's tyres. Same responses. When I show them the bike and ask them to check what tyre it has, some agree and call the supplier some still try to bully!

They say there is nothing like Zapper S, why Zapper S, there is nothing in the size 100/80 x 17 from MRF. One guy went ahead to make a bet. I told him "How much money do you have to bet? Bet the whole thing. I'll bet double that. I know you will loose and I want to be richer"

Well, some ppl in Mumbai & Chennai have got these tyres on their bikes already.

That some people HydBiker is talking about is me. I got the same tire exactly a week back and fixed it on my RTR 160 for the rear. U will get it. U just gotta search around and contact the right people!

Usually they will mention whichever is earlier. Its better to service it on time.

I have a exactly opp problem. my second service falls on May 15th. ODO shd be 3.5-4 but now itself i reached almost 3.

Atleast for my case i can manage the service guys after all they can write the Wrong ODO and give to Suzuki india.

But for you if they produce the service slips then it will be a prob. As it will have the date of purchase

IIRC, it was 1850 for tire + 150 for valve. Not sure...

Dear Demon, please read the service guidelines carefully which says- which ever is earlier. So dont wait for another few kilometers, get your bike serviced as per the date of purchase and service due date.

                              all cheers
