Dont worry too much about that. Just dont ride in a constant speed for long time and every half hour ride either slow or stop for some time. In my case i find it very easy to shift from 2nd to neutral than from 1st. When changing from first gear to second gear use a little force otherwise it may go to neutral.Originally posted by seklax View PostLast edited by Anupdas; 01-18-2010, 03:56 PM.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

1. the 3500 Vibs still there.
I finally understood what you meant by vibration in 3500 rpm. Today morning i rode with a pilliion and definitely felt a vibration as the rpm reaches exact 3500. Lower gears didnt make much vibs but top gears do made some. Did you find out what exactly is causing it? One more thing its more prominent in mornings than others as i just rode it back home and didnt feel much.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

[QUOTE=Sarvajit;362573]My bike is just 2 week old and i find it very amusing seeing all 100 cc bikes (splendor and victor) overtook me easily, i was on 4th gear nearly @4000 rpm. I had a pillion too. I thought 100 cc bikes were nothin before my GS. After running in how far can i rev my machine? I have lost some confidenceOriginally posted by Anupdas View Post

Anup, 100 cc bikes are not mopeds, they too are capable of reaching 80+ KMPH speeds, it depends on the driving.Originally posted by Anupdas View Post

And I am pretty sure, if you had given them the chase you would have definately overtaken them
. Since your bike is new, for the first 1000 KMs you need to be a bit patient.

I didnt know that they had this much speed. Mostly riding in 50-55 range, eager to know what it is capable of.Originally posted by Joey View PostAnup, 100 cc bikes are not mopeds, they too are capable of reaching 80+ KMPH speeds, it depends on the driving.

Based on the info available (xBHP members and test drive reports from tv channels) GS can easily do 100 - 110 KMPH.Originally posted by Anupdas View PostI didnt know that they had this much speed. Mostly riding in 50-55 range, eager to know what it is capable of.
I reached 80KMPH during my test drive, I felt it can cross the three digit mark easily, so don't worry.

Is it possible to get a mileage of 70+ for GS. Today i just filled a litre after reserve and rode it continuously till the next reserve. The newly set trip shows 73.4 km. After 65 km for the first time i prayed to go to reserve so that it may be true, its still running. I checked twice whether the fuel valve is in reserve position. The air temperature was low around 20 degrees. I guess something is wrong.Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck.........

k i will explain it to u nw i filled my bike with 1litre petrol immediately after reserve and it again came back to reserve after some 25 km i shocked
and turned that knob to res posistion and agin to on position it went on upto 36km and again same thing happened what is the problem ? even i am filling petrol frm same bunk(very good bunk). previously i used to get 52-53kmpl nw i am getting 42-45kmpl
I can put any Signatures :P

Sorry guys for the confusion this was just a fluke on last reserve i got only an average of 40 and was worried. Then i put a litre of petrol to check the average and it rode upto 78 km. I think initially it was not reserve but just a hiccup. Adding with the previous value it will be 59 kmpl. The bike feels good and shifting is effortless.Originally posted by Anupdas View PostIs it possible to get a mileage of 70+ for GS.
