  • Guys the Big Suzuki guys are coming for the free service camp tomorrow onwards(19,20,21 Jan) at Panvel, Simiran Suzuki. Come all those of you who can.

I have touched 117Kmph on the Gs once and i really think that our GS has nil or very minute speedo error, coz when verified with this formula (by ssivakumar.r)...

engine speed(rpm) /(primary reduction ratio x gear ratio x secondary reduction ratio) = wheel speed(rpm)

    wheel speed x wheel dia(m) x pi(3.14)/60 = bike speed in m/s

bike speed (m/s) x 18/5 = bike speed in kmph

... the speedo shows almost exact numbers with respect to the tacho. But crosswinds really start to affect above 115Kmph and it started to scare me. Somehow the GS seemed unsturdy and wobbly at 117.
With great Power(and Torque) comes great responsibility.

My Bike's Throttle was full at 115, so I guess that is what its capable off, however I would like to point that this bike is NOT about pickup and speed, this bike is about pure comfort and pleasure with unmatched millage. No bike comes close to this when it comes to engine smoothness and driving comfort at a speed as high as 105. At 90-95 its smoothness is immaculate, The only other bike I found smooth close enough to this one was CBZ-X or karizma. (But both lack in the millage department, so in neck comparison GS wins.)

Might be because of the wind or uneven road, coz my experience was opposite and I felt GS rock solid at 115, and I was very impressed......

Go for metalic grey or greenish blue as the black as black dont do much justice to its design. All the other colors looks like a flexed body builder, especially the tank looks majestic. Gives a big bike like feel. Grey looks more of an executive choice while greenish blue is a very good head turner. I have a blue one, my friends said mixed comments but all cousin sisters said it is a gorgeous one.

              Man this is wierd.

I don't think its a problem with the petrol bunk. I am not too sure abt the issue u r facing, better check with the SC guys mate.

Fill abt 3 litres of petrol and see if this happens again. Do let us know when this issue gets resolved.

After reading this thread and reviews from other sites, I finally purchased Suzuki gs150r on 16th jan 2010 from IBAY Motors Kukatpally,Hyderabad. The On Road price is 67K with free accessories and registration.

So far I am completely satisfied with the bike's performance, comfortable and looks. Still I have to find out the mileage.

I selected the Metallic Grey color. It looks beautiful in sunlight and evening as well.

                The negative so far:

                1. Shifting from second gear to neutral is not smooth. Is it normal for a new bike ?

                2. Burning smell is coming from engine after riding 15-20 Kms. Is it normal for a new bike ?

                I need some valuable comments...

                Thank you.

                Hi Guy's,

My gear shift is now much smoother....

                    • These are some snaps of my beauty. The snaps arent doing justice to her true looks. First i will list out what i think about each colours.

                      1. Black - Boring and wont give a big bike feel. Too difficult to manage the colour.
                      2. Orange - Good for hyper active boys.
                      3. Grey - Mature of all colors, good for executives. But wont stand out in crowd.
                      4. Blue - This one projects all curves in her body and you can see the gradients from tank to tail lamp. Trendy

On the day of delivery there were 4 of us eagerly waiting for our rides. Two were black, one grey and one blue (me). And after some time all of us were called and when we went inside the garage all four was displayed. On seeing all of them together, the two who selected black were looking at us grey and blue with a look of admiration. Thats what i wanted.

Dis this mileage drop immediately after gettting the bike after service.?
I experience this everytime i give my bike for servicing
It improves after 200-300km for me though.
