Sure the bike would retain its originality if you go for the paint of the tank from Suzuki themselves,it would also need new tank graphics like the original.Originally posted by speed deamon View Posti wanted to know whether the originality of bike will remain same if we did a repaint job from the ss. plzzz reply me guys
Only if your bike is not Blue...then,bcoz the Blue color for Suzuki has deepened, but all other colors as the orange, black and silver are still of the same tone.Hell's Angel

Just help me with directions, from old madras road(near ngef) i should go under the cable bridge, and the road goes to the right. and this bunk is the first shell bunk to the left. is this correct ??
I think if you go further there is another shell bunk too so i'm a bit confused.
I'm going tomorrow itself and buying the vsx oil for sure..
So happy that its available there

@speed deamon:
I dont think the tank will retain originality dude..
Even my tank has a slight dent on it, they said they cant paint because they dont have access to the so called "high quality" paint that suzuki uses and if they can only give to local workshops and the paint quality wont be that good..
(and in my case they said that blue colour isnt available anywhere too)Last edited by thefalcon; 07-14-2010, 10:32 PM.

The black bike has grey graphics or stickers on the tank.........expect no less then 3000 bucks for the kind of paint Suzuki uses.Originally posted by speed deamon View Postthanq for ur reply. my bikes colour is black.i dont think the graphics will be available with them.so the black tone will not be changed ri8 and appx how much does it costHell's Angel

Dude you pay 1500 bucks for metal........rest of 4500 bucks is the paintOriginally posted by speed deamon View Postdude i think new tank cost 4.5k and ur saying the painting costs 3k

If you dont get the stickers ,the bike would lose its originality, every company can provide the stock decal stickers and they are very much available...only that you would be without your bike for a few days

Please buy a new one, exchange this one,you may get a waiver. But this would be a one time investment. Please be careful with it the next time.
Its really looking bad,get the kids parents to pay for this......
Next time be aware bro

I think the tank is 3800 (inclusive of stickers which cost 200-300)..
Try painting it bro.. (i think it wont be more than 1k for painting)..
May be you can try painting the tank glossy white and put the decals of the red GS so it stands out in contrast to the white..
You'll have a nice and unique GS then
And white paint will be functional too, it will keep tank cooler by reflecting heat..

Paint quality would take a hit then.........Originally posted by thefalcon View Post(i think it wont be more than 1k for painting)..
The SVC guy told me Suzuki repaints GS150R tanks for 2500-3000 bucks, depending on the color and stickers used.Local painters paint for around 1000 bucks and quality is not top notch....it would seem to be like the paint that came on new-bikes 15yrs earlier from now.
