I wonder how it comfortably travels with that weight in start stop traffic in and around 2500-3400rpm range, its a bike with massive amount of character !!!!! Its so silent.
Just a twist of throttle is all it requires now climb the serious speeds in the city...............and that too without any stressing behaviour from the engine.
The Engine has turned smoother by the day,and it now travels like a very fast moving electric train!!!!!!All of a sudden I feel a gust of wind and see the far vehicles in front of me closing in very quickly !!!!

Is the bike that Cold Blooded ???? It murders without any hue and cry !!!!!
    Thats the uniqueness GSR has......

Suzuki GSR resembles the Hero Honda Karizma every possible way.
    1.Weight
2.Silent pick-up.......no noise from the 225cc mill as well as from our 150cc mill. Its that silent all over the rev range, even the Unicorn shouts louder than our GSR !!!!! when high revved !!!
    3.Power mode GSR(TPFC enabled) and 225cc ZMA has similar pick-up too !!!!!
    4.Both are comfortable tourers !!!
    5.Dual cable throttle balancer

    Points dissimilar :
1.Fuel Economy ..........GSR is far more fuel efficient than the 225cc Honda
    2.lower top speed than a 225cc engine(125kmph for the ZMA)but really close at 119kmph(of GSR) !!!!
3.Sixth gear on the Suzuki, not on the Honda .

all these makes the GSR a smarter 150cc too

there are some corrections using speed shifting gives you a speed of around 115-118kmph.......try doing power shifting once........you can ride at 126kmph.......thats what i got(due to my bad experience as mentioned few pages back)......

well saw a Bandit standing at SVC today...as the counter guy is my friend asked him to arrange a test ride for me.....fullon maska maara........it was just a 200 m ride...but the sheer power.........huh......i just cant wait for my saved money to be as much as to buy one.......

I dont think you can legally import a GSX750R
I remember reading(somewhere in xbhp) that the govt doesnt allow importing bikes less than 800cc because it'll be competition for Indian bikes it seems

You'll have to show TR to import the bikes less than 800cc.

I wish i could test ride a bandit too, but my showroom/SC doesnt keep superbikes on display. damn..

        • Just changed to Gulf Oil this morning at a Local Garage. Also changed the Oil Filter as well as the O Ring. The Castrol Oil that was drained out was Pitch Black. It dont think it could have got any blacker than that. It was a wonderful sight to see the Shiny Maroonish Color of the Gulf Oil. I filled 1 Ltr of Gulf Oil including the Oil Filter change.
The Oil Level is exactly in between L and F.
The Garage Owner though was going ga-ga over Castrol Oil. He just wont take it when i said anything bad about Castrol. He was also not convinced that i was filling Gulf Oil.
I told him to just do it.

Cannot comment much on the Performance after Oil change as i just rode for 1 Km. But the Gear shifts have smoothened a lot. Initial indications are positive.
Will keep you Guys posted once i ride more.

i stoped at place due to rain..
when the rain stopped and all the bikers about yo leave..
near about 4-5 people gathered me and atrt asking about the bike...
they all wanted to know the performance of the bike..
2 of them having hero honda splendor , 2 of them discover and 1 platina..
they were impressed with the look of th bike.. specially tank.. and as well as the pillow seat...
all of them asked me about the dealer as well as about the service center ..
i ahve provided all the information about it.. 3 of them took my contact number also.. and said will go next week to book the bike...

GS150R is really rocking.. i was feeling like king at that time...
i think GS do not required any advertisement... it;s performance says everything.. last week just checked the milage.. 1st it was 65.7LM/ltr..
                now it;s giving 63km/ltr..
no issue with small drop cause now i started to drive ma bike much faster..

                  • @sanjukoli12 to be true motul,Gulf are good i think with lot of GS owners using Gulf and have got satisfactory results. I am in the same boat as you are i went to local shop today they didn't have gulf but had Shell Advance Fast trac 4T cost Rs 210/- but i don't know how good it is since i asked the mechanic he told 2k kms. Any one tried Shell can give a feedback. Tomorrow going to the Area were i should most probably find Gulf Pride hopefully. Since these days lot of Oils that are coming are fake.

Questions about my bike were asked by people riding the Unicorn,Super Splendour,Pulsar150Dtsi, CBZ,Discover 135........Apart from that daily I face some queries or the other from almost every kind of motorcycle riders either at traffic lights or at business places and offices.

                      • +1 to whatever you guys said i have become kind of a information kiosk for my gs on average 2 queries from mileage to all queries. A Guy in a splendor asked yesterday 0-60 kitney second mein lol. i asked him how long you been riding the splendor and are you a commuter or racer. He was riding the splendor for past 7 years and told me mileage was important. But really don't know why he asked about 0-60 as his first question than mileage.

Even we can see this on latest Maruti Suzuki Advt on TV rite

                          • Okk Changed to Gulf Pride 4T Cost Rs 180/- And Got Rs 20 in the inside the cap will buy another pack. Drove only 3kms so can't give much feedback but one thing that i am not getting knocking sounds at 20km/h in 4th gear which was happening in Castrol. The knocking sounds were too much to bear. Any way will give a report this week since i will easily get 500kms Done with the oil by then. First impressions the gear shifts are good.

Also asked the mechanic how is castrol and only few words ' bus naam aacha hey oil is not' He told me Shell Advance and Gulf are both good and he was really going gaga over the GS telling that the sound of bike is awesome because it is so silent.

                            • Hi guys!!!
Long back i wanted to know about NGK iridium Spark plug on our bike...
I was not listed on the NGK website
Last time when i met Mr.Kalyan at SC, he show me the iridium spark plug and said it would cost around 700 bucks.

                              Now!!!
Before i could take up any decision, i have a few questions..
                              1) Is it advisable???
                              2) Will it cause any damage to the engine?
                              3) Will there be any difference in the performance?
                              4) Will it cause overheating n reduce engine life?
                              5) Will i get a better mileage??

If anyone has changed their spark plug to iridium, please do contribute few words about it

I read somewhere that even the spark plug cables should be upgraded when upgrading to a higher grade spark plug...

From what i've heard, just changing the spark plug to iridium will hardly help you.
You may have reduced misfires and extended life of the plug and probably minute difference in mileage(1kmpl) with the plug..

To get full benifit of iridium you have to change to performance cable too (to provide higher voltage to the plug)..
Unfortunately these cables(spitfire for example) cost another 1300 approx.
With the entire setup(plug and cable) you should have much better pick up and mileage..

In any case, there wont be damage or over heating or reduced life.. dont worry about those things..
But where did you get an iridium plug ?? NGK doesnt provide one for GS i think.
