Thanks Vishnu, But its not like creek sound, I am sure that its due to the break pads rubs the disc and also this gives a friction to free rotation of the wheelOriginally posted by vishnukmd View PostThis sound is due to the dust or sand between the brake pad and disc and need not be cleaned as it is not making any problem. Ignore it.

Hey, just try this. Put your bike in center stand, ask someone to put pressure at the back end of the bike so front wheel is raised, and try rotating the wheel keeping handle straight.Originally posted by firegun View PostThanks Vishnu, But its not like creek sound, I am sure that its due to the break pads rubs the disc and also this gives a friction to free rotation of the wheel
If you feel the disc is wobbling then its probably bent.
My bike has the same problem, and the svc said the only solution is to change disc which is 1.3k.
If its not bent then consider yourself lucky.
Just remove the calipers and use sand paper to scrub the disc pads and fix it back. It should solve the problem.

Yes i did exactly as you said then only i came to know that pads are rubbing some point of the Disc while the wheel is rotatingOriginally posted by thefalcon View PostHey, just try this. , I too think so

Just a week back the Front Tyre was Replaced under warranty due to Wobbling
The SVC guys did so but no useOriginally posted by thefalcon View PostIf its not bent then consider yourself lucky.

Do we have warranty for Disc?, My bike is just one month old and covered about 4.2K of ODOOriginally posted by thefalcon View Postthe only solution is to change disc which is 1.3k.Last edited by firegun; 08-07-2011, 11:28 PM.

Clean the disc and brake pad with high pressure water or air at the service centre or any car washing centers. This may probably solve the problem.
They will replace it if there bend and if it is a manufacturing defect.

Winding work looks neat, and Do you have a plan for HID?
I think Now you can use LED's it will be reliable on DC

If your bike is just one month old go ahead and fight for a new disc under warranty.Originally posted by firegun View PostYes i did exactly as you said then only i came to know that pads are rubbing some point of the Disc while the wheel is rotating

In my case the slight bend was because someone in an activa hit my bike in that area and there is a mark on the front fork also, so they realized it was not a manufacturing defect when i asked.
But the bend wasn't significant so they said i could try using it. Only problem is i have to bear with a squeak squeak sound which comes almost all the time.

The difference is about 13 kml. Is there any leak or possibility of petrol theft?

Congrats and wonderful..............enjoy the lighting !!!!Originally posted by vishnukmd View PostI too have converted my bike to full DC by rewinding the coil with 19 swg wire and replacing the RR unit with Ape’s.
Tyre pressure, load on the bike, wind resistance on the same road or even the type of road traversed..........????Originally posted by Maestro View PostNopes......also the petrol bunk is same from where i filled earlier......
I guess all were not in similar conditions over which you got the previous mileage ????? !!!Last edited by MACH50; 08-09-2011, 12:48 AM.Hell's Angel

Wind resistance was there.....but not that much ki it will drop the mileage by such a margin....and rest all conditions same....Originally posted by MACH50 View PostCongrats and wonderful..............enjoy the lighting !!!!

except....for the first 500Rs it was sane riding and it gave me 260km and the next 500Rs it was hardcore ripping and it still gave me 252km....

Hey vishnu bhai, congrats for accomplishing mission "Dc conversion"
I request you to spare your valuable time in explaining in layman's, the method of dc conversion.(sorry i have no Gk in electrical and do not want to touch it without prior electrical Gk).
1)is there any improvement in light throw in pre and post dc conversion?also list other improvements noticed overall.
2)what are all the items required and approx cost.
3)is it possible for us to replace the factory reflector with any other reflector?(since the faulty reflector design is also one of the reason for the slight diverge light throw
