He told it is because water is not going it is taking place and we cannot do anything for the same.

I asked him where is the manager, but as it was 8 in the morning, he said he not in available yet .

Should I directly talk the to manager and ask for replacement, Or what should I do ??? I am confused Need your help guys. ??

1)is there any improvement in light throw in pre and post dc conversion?also list other improvements noticed overall.

2)what are all the items required and approx cost.

3)is it possible for us to replace the factory reflector with any other reflector?(since the faulty reflector design is also one of the reason for the slight diverge light throw
The light throw will be same as you experience above 4k rpm.....but at lower ones too it will be retained unlike ac stock conditions.....if the bulb is upgraded to a nightbreaker then definately the lighting is faarrrrr more better.....
You need a piaggio ape rr single phase....with two sockets....it would cost you INR 1054/-....
Secondly you will need a good auto electrician who will rewind the coil.....approx charges INR 400-500/-.....and ofcourse a good bulb either a nightbreaker(INR700/-)or a HID( INR2200/-)
And the stock reflector cannot be changed as its a wolf eye design and its one of a kind.....

Also wait for a week or two....I am planning something out of the box thing...its a DIY....and probably would increase the headlamp output more than the P220....

Ask him calmly for three times and if he still says no then just ask him to give it in written format with the dealer stamp.....and also hint that this would go to the Suzuki ppl....this will work....

Surely. But I have to recheck, trim and reconnect some wires as everything was done in a trial by error method without the help of anyone.

Yes. The intensity of the light has improved as it is connected to the battery.

It is difficult to find out a suitable reflector to replace the stock one and that is the main problem.
The headlight reflector is designed as per the regulations of United Nations Economic Commission of Europe (UNECE) which do not allow symmetrical low beam.
Unfortunately, Japan is a participant to the ECE agreement though India is not. This is why the reflector of our bike is not / cannot be redesigned.

Approach the workshop manager / engineer and demand a replacement of the tank. The company is replacing it even after the warranty period.

                  sir,
my suzuki gs 150r had completed 2 yrs on june 3 of 2011 and today while filling petrol i saw rust on the mouth of the tank and also few specs of rust in the neck region i asked the dealer about this issue he said we cant do anything about that and said dont ride ur bike in rain, is it possible in monsoons?. i simply say "suzuki is producing defective materials these days" bcoz my dads 7yr old bike is still without any rust. i think the metal is not treated properly. if you want me to attach the pics i will attach it.

i already showed the rusting at my 4th service he took some pictures of the tank and he said if the company allows me to replace i will replace it and sprayed some anti rust spray on that. kindly take necessary action ASAP thank u in advance

It is not a Philips but is Osram Night Breaker 55-60 watts. I shall post updates later after trying it for a few days. Philips X-treme may give the same result but both these bulbs are ECE complaint and are designed not to focus light to a point.

Here, if the dealer replaces it, he will not get any commission / profit which he may get when he sell the tank.

                        • After 150 kms ride with headlight. It took about 5 hours to cover this distance as the ride was through interior village roads, worse than mud roads.

                          This is the expenses:
                          300 grams of 19 swg winding wire – 650*0.3 = 195.
                          Ape’s RR = 1165.
                          Araldite = 30.
                          2 Gaskets (1 small and 1 big) for magneto cover – 28+12 = 40.
                          Insulating warmish – 40.
High ampere electric wire (1 Meter). – 15.
                          TOTAL – 1485.
If planning to do replace the coil yourself, one 8 mm and one 12 mm T-spanners, one 4 mm L shaped inner hexagonal spanner, a high watt soldering iron, soldering led, soldering flux, one 17 mm ring spanner, insulation tape etc will be needed.
Everything including the coil winding to replacing was done by me. So cannot say anything about the labor charges.
If you have no prior experience, DON’T TRY TO OPEN THE MAGNETO COVER and take out the coil YOURSELF.

My personal advice is to wait for a few more days to get the updates from those who have already converted their bike to full DC.

Connect the YELLOW wire to the +ve (positive) and BLACK wire to the –ve (negative) terminals of the battery. The 2 GREY wires are for the 2 ends of the coil.

The wires you mentioned (the RED and WHITE wires) were previously connected to an ammeter in the auto rickshaw and is now connected to a warning light which glows when the battery is not charging. So leave it intact.

Seems last 3 days almost all questions are on DC.

Guys don't rush, be patient and do DC conversion step by step with a knowledgeble mechanic and some one who can do the rewounding of the coil.

                            • Got My Bike Back

                              Hey Guys,

I will say something about SVC first

                              1. The SVC is 28 Km away from where i Stay.
                              2. It closes at 5:00. Lunch time 1:30 to 2:40
                              3. They wont accept bike after 10 am.
                              4. Need to book the service.

now with above schedule i have to leave my house at least an hour before, for servicing, Need to take a half day from office to take it back.

Got back my bike from svc yesterday, and i am disappointed, I dont know why but last time when i serviced my bike from my home town. The bike was real smooth and making very less noise. The svc guy in kolhapur(my hometown) had done a wonderful job.

But in pune when i went to take the bike, I paid 700 rs, When checked the bike it was like they only changed the oil that's it....

Even the bike was dirty, it was much cleaner when i gave for service.

Told them to charge the battery, It was not charged, They dint.

The clutch was as it is.

The Rear brake was still making noise.

                              The chain was still loose...

The water in the tank mouth was still not going.

I was out of control I went back in the office took my service page on which i mentioned the Problem and went to manager.

He came with me, I showed him that none of the work is done, They charged 250 for 7th paid service and they dint even apply any grease no where on the bike ...

Told the manager about the rust in the tank.

He said that is because of water. i told him I need the replacement he said cant do it...

Asked them to give it in writing and he changed ...

he said the bike is in no more production and will arrange something as soon as possible.

Took back the bike and did all the mentioned work.

Was waiting there it self and checked all the work..

But I have lost the smooth sound of bike, The gears are like water now.

We have a honda, Bajaj and Hero Honda at our home, But never faced such problems while servicing..

I am planning to buy a 250cc soon as with ninja, gw250 was also in list..

But after this a complete no to Suzuki....

I think i will sale out the bike...I am tired of the service. (service after every 2000 km )

                              • Servicing woes are there for all bikes it all depends up on the dealers attitude

                                Brother bike lover,

This is not new to the world of bike dealers servicing attitude.

Almost everyone came accross similar sittuation.

I was in such sittuation during this year start, I opted to go with local mechanic for all service, and now me and my GS are happy.

If my wife is sick I will take her to hospital, if the treatment is not good i will change the hospital not wife, rite same applies here too.

Any bike it all depends up on how we maintain it not how the dealer is
