It looks perfect for me as I am 5' 10'', and it has got perfect seating position. Gears change were smooth.
Earlier I was informed that brakes of this bike are not good and bike is very underpowered, but I didn't feel so at all...I specifically tested the front and rear brakes in my ride and felt fine, although pick was not that great but I found it satisfactory to my needs..may be I am upgrading myself from bajaj discover 135 to GS150, and my experience of biking is limited to discover 135 (11000 kms) and bajaj 150 (have ridden friend's bike for 50 kms only) and hence I ddidn't feel the difference that other bikers have informed me...I felt the bike is superb and will book the same in couple of days.

The dealer informed me that new version has waiting period of 1.5 month and old version is readily available..morever I will be going for black colour and the red stripe in black colour of new GS looks ugly to me and since only change in new and old version is graphics and minor headlight design (which I was not able to make out) I will be booking the old black colour version..

So friends please advise me will it be correct to go for the old version of GS 150...
If you are interested in 2010 model then it is Ok, but anytime new model 2012 is preferrable because manufacturers will rectify certain flaws from based on the complaints they recieved.
If you are not getting New/Old GS in thane, try to contact Dolphin suzuki, ghatkopar. I have taken my GS from them with MH-43 registration. They maintain spares also well..

    all the best ...

          Dear xbhpians,

I have sad news for you all. I purchased all new GS150r white color on 6 October from Saboo Suzuki, Hyderabad. Unfortunately, I met with an accident and injured myself badly on hands and legs. The bike also got damaged with severe scratches on headlight cowl, right side panel near pillion rider seat, few scratches on exhaust pipe / silencer. Seems like there is a handle bent also. I am really hurt when I saw my bike lying on road with scratches rather than the pain I am having with injuries.

Can some one please help me to find the godd service station in Hyd to have all the spares of white color GS150r . Also guide me how to claim the insurance and its pit falls. I had insurance from IFFCO TOKIO from the dealer.

          Appreciate your early response.

              Hi Shiva

Sad to here that you met with accident. As for my experiance in suzuki SVC's in hyderabad, Only SABOO services are good compared to others.
Regarding spares, U need to contact Saboo only as he is the big dealer here.

If you need any help, please call me on my mobile. I am sending a PM to you.

                Shiva,
Extremely sorry to hear about the accident and your injuries. Wish you a very speedy recovery from the injuries.
The parts of the new GS are available in the service centre. If not, they will arrange to get it at the earliest. Approach the dealer from whom you bought the bike or Saboo services as pavan cin suggested and contact him for any assistance.
The dealer will help you to claim the insurance. There are no pitfalls in it, but what you get for the fibre parts will be 50% of its cost.
Replace all the damaged parts including the handle bar. Be more careful in future.

I think one of the reason for selling may be xbhp... as many of us (including myself) has been motivated through this blog to buy this bike...suzuki should really thank to xbhp

I think so too. My decision was also influenced by xbhp where we get the authentic experiences of the owners and are not swayed by the marketing gimmicks.

More than Suzuki, we should thank xbhp because I really feel I have benefited more ... after having purchased the GS150R
