I have seen a Karnataka police constable accepting mere 5 rupees as bribe. Goa police is heard to be the worst. As one of our courts once opined, police forces of the Indian states are organized gangs of criminals.

A traffic police emptied my pocket(containing just 20 Rupees ) recently for wrong parking even though there were no signboards about the no parking zone. Such seems to happen during the last days of each month when I guess they would have spent most of their salary and are looking for other sources of income.

I drive only in the 4000 rpm range except while overtaking and even then I don't go over 6000 rpm and the best mileage I've got between fillings is 57kmpl. The roads in Kerala aren't as straight and wide as in other states and I keep the air pressure at 16 & 27 psi coz I've skidded while braking when I keep it more and with those conditions the avg mileage after nearly 6k kms is 53kmpl only.

Under inflated tyres causes poor fuel efficiency as it increases the rolling resistance of the wheel. Other results are overheating and blowout and lesser life of tyre. More than that it causes wobbling due to which handling the bike becomes difficult.
It is a baseless belief that correctly or slightly over inflated tyres is the reason for skidding. Increase the tyre pressure to 25-35 psi or at least to 25-33 psi when it is cold.

The pump is 5kms from my place so if I take it there in the morning the tyre could be considered cold? Also are you talking about 25 in front and 33 in rear?

                    • Hi folks., back to chennai after 4days..
Missed my bike & ride like anything..
Saw some discussions going on here..
To my part I want to add a bit..

When I went for the 1st service., I told the SVC people that my bike is leaning towards left side when I took both hands from the handle bar while riding..
The SVC person asked me what was the pressure kept on front tyre (at that time their pressure guage wasn't working)., Since the air was filled from the showroom at the delivery time, I didn't knew the values..
I asked the SVC person , he told me to keep it as 18psi for front..
As some discussions about the bike was going at that time, I forgot to ask for rear tyre..
Didnt checked with 18psi as I was out of town after Diwali... Will check it today..
Any idea friends? Is it true that the leaning happens b'cos of tyre pressure?

Let him keep that pressure in his bike. The recommended tyre inflation for GS is 25 psi in front tyre and 28 psi for solo riding/33 psi for dual riding in rear tyre. Most of us are inflating in that rate.

Yes. Underinflated tyres cause such issues in handling because the tire becomes saggy. Inflate it to the recommended values or keep it just a little lower if you are riding on bad or slippery roads.

Ya I'm aware of those figures., But my question is about the handling, ie. bike leans to the left side.. whereas in my previous bike Passion Plus I didn't had such strange thing.. If I take two of my hands while riding, the bike kept its position straight in track(road)... I do like this at times to test the handle bar and the suspension..

In GS I don't face any problem riding in this setup.. But it shouldn't be like this right? The bike should on track regardless of whether we hold the handlebar or not...
