Today during usual cleaning, i noticed the same in my bikes rear alloy.
It is bent and it is clearly visible when the wheel rotates. But when i drive, there is no wobbling.... ! Covered 3550 on my way to office now. Booked for second service at SMK this Wednesday. Hope they fix this under warranty.
Never ran into any big poth holes on road. But still this happened. Maybe it was my ignorance for the past 55 days.
The bending of alloy wheel is not a rare case. Anyway, get it checked at the service centre. It is not replaced under warranty as Maestro said.
If there is bent, replace it instead of trying to straighten.

Hi I did my research with the three dealers which are there in Mumbai and there is no difference at all between any of them. They all speak the same language.Originally posted by Taurean View Posthey i was going through the previous pages of this forum and read somewhere that Suzuki service station at Mulund is not good. For a New GS say no to synthetic or semi synthetic, in your case its good to go with the default oil (aka SVC oil)Biking is in my Blood!!

Right, it can only be felt.........Originally posted by BlackPanther View Post.. My feelings of riding next to that guy can never be typed here...
The more I understand coz I have to do some of those rides alongside GSXR1000 and Hayabusas of my biking buddies.
I would graduate to one of the mighty ones soon........just waiting for the versatile mighty one which I want
Apart from that,
I do not want to restart a controversial topic here again, but it has always been a realisation to me the PWR and ECO modes on our bike is more than just a cheap riding habit indicator.
Why I say this today because I have activated the PWR today after almost 8 months and first time after I had installed Supercharger on my bike.
A change in character was immediately evident-more than the stock bike on this souped up bike.
With no modes activated, my GS150R develops a small lag while the supercharger builds up pressure from 5,000rpms and delivering the thrust at 6,000rpms.Since the Supercharger gets activated at 5,000 rpms.......the 0-60kmph of my bike is similar to other GS150Rs but the 0-100 is very fast almost comparable to CBR250R, anyway. This is how the Supercharged bike behaves with no modes activated.
Now, when I activated the PWR mode today- what I found is this:
There was a decrease in 0-60 kmph timing and the lag that was felt before Supercharger boosts was apparently absent !!!!
Which means the lag was not felt, it kept picking-up speed with a huge amount of torque...........but the rpms were climbing very slow as it went past 6000rpms......even with the Supercharger my bike felt sluggish in the high end of PWR modes.
After deactivating PWR mode- the thrust of Supercharger felt was normal...since the Supercharger boosts my bike to climb 11000rpms even in sixth gear,so it needs to rev engine high in order to make the bike go fast.
This has let me to conclude that:
PWR somehow enhances this Low-end and midrange torque delivery but restricts engine rpms at high rpms........some kind of over rev controller-thats what I felt.
Otherwise why would the natural character of the Supercharger would be affected if the PWR mode is non-functional ???
I somehow think, PWR mode is a mode we should always use in riding high altitude zones- this puts a lot of torque at low rpms.Hell's Angel

Optimistic Answer: Use it till you feel the bike needs an oil change.Originally posted by SriKi.GSpian View Postthanks bro and what's the drain interval of the castrol activ mineral oil ?
Realistic Answer: being it as any brand the wiser option is to use mineral oil for a max distance of 2500 kms, but some oil tend to give you the feel to change it with in 750 kms

yes, mine is a strange bike which wont starve to go with the same engine oil for 1.25 lakh+ kms
did i said my GS alloy wheels are brittle
my statement on alloy wheel was by general believe that alloy wheels are much stronger than steel rims
Alloy wheels are stronger and far lighter than steel rims and are able to withstand the same stresses better. Where a steel wheel can get bent an alloy wheel wont. If the impact is higher than the alloy wheel is designed for, it breaks. have read and seen picture on many sites about incidents where alloy wheel taken the accident impact and break in to pieces.
these three are the most common alloy wheels in market
1. Magnesium alloy: its more light weight and more strong
2. Mag-Alloy: Expensive one among all.
3. Aluminum alloy (i believe this is the one comes with GS) which doesn't offer the advantage [strength Vs mass advantage] of above two alloys wheels.
i heard about metalica but not an expert when it comes to metals
we have aluminum plates (kitchen) which can be bent easily and cooker made up of aluminum which is bit hard but that also can be bent.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity
