          1. I don’t think it will solve the sound problem.
          4. The rear brake shoes usually lasts more than 20 K kms but it depends the usage. See page 6-38 and 39 of the user’s manual to know how to check its wearing.

              Nice. Please post the details about the gauge of the winding wire used, number of turns on each pole, the voltage output from the RR, wattage of the headlight bulb using etc together with pictures of the light.

                        Moreover I have a mundane doubt .......yup but its still a doubt

                        Our headlamp is allowed only 35Watts of electricity from the connection at the armature coil,after repatching it to battery(DC conversion), I think it would still draw 35W of current for igniting the bulb.............so does a 55W bulb really works when the headlamp is allowed only 35W from circuit ???? I never understood this.

                            Its my understanding that in stock setup 3 or 4 poles of the magneto are responsible for lighting the headlight and the parking lamps. 35 watts goes for the headlight and 10 watts goes for the pilots. But when you go for dc conversion, both wires from the magneto is connected to the battery and power to the headlight is drawn from the battery. So even if you use a 110 watt bulb it will work. Its another thing that the reflector may not see the light of day after its first use. It will most certainly melt.

                              Our stator coil is a single winding on 8 poles in case of old batch and 12 poles in case of later batch bikes.
                              The headlight in the stock setup is connected to a separate tap in the RR. The other two wires are connected to the battery.

                              It is difficult or almost impossible to use 100/110 watt headlight bulb, even after rewinding the coil as the total consumption becomes more than 200 watts which results more than 16 amperes. We cannot wind the coil with such a thick wire as it will touch the rotor.

                              • Gear Ratio's

                                I purchased a White GS150R on Nov 1st and am very happy with it. Previous to the purchase, I searched for the Gear Ratio's of the bike and could not find it on the net anywhere. So I thought I would just post it in this thread. Hope nobody minds,

                                GEAR RATIOS OF SUZUKI GS150R
                                1st = 33/12 = 2.75
                                2nd = 29/15 = 1.93
                                3rd = 23/20 = 1.3
                                4th = 24/22 = 1.09
                                5th = 22/23 = 0.96
                                6th = 20/24 = 0.83

                                Primary Reduction ratio = 73/21 = 3.476

                                Now, entering these figures in Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator
                                I found that
