      thanks for ur replies..
i have planned to use the svc (castrol mineral) oil..
what is its drain interval? (castrol mineral oil)
      and what about
1.Shell Semi Synthetic 15w40 ? (its drain interval)
      2.Castrol power 1 15w40 ( its drain interval) ??
in our much polluted and stressed environment, max should be 2500 kms for both mineral and semi

Nothing like that but trying to get rid of insane comments from some others. You too are welcome.

This " Thud " noise normally comes when u Down shift the gears at high speeds. eg: down shifting to second gear at a speed of 30+.
              Do check it properly.

Although many say that this is a non existing imaginary issue I am confidant of its presence.
Even the gear shifts have become harder..
The ODO reading is just approaching 1000km more from the last oil change.

Will go for a oil change soon this time as my next scheduled service is still month apart as I believe the oil is the culprit..
But strange that it has lost its character before 1000kms???
I guess servo oil at the SVC is the real culprit. I had to change my first oil after 500 kms itself since gearshiftings became very hard.

Yup I use heel shifter only as I am comfortable with that itself( used to do the same with my previous caliber 115 )

                  • I have noticed that if I use the toe shifter then no sound comes....and if heel shifted is used then the sound comes.... A psychological reason for this is....since the heel shifter is a bit high you need to lift your leg to place it on heel shifter.....unless you have a 10+ numbered feet.....so this makes you to apply more force hence the sound....

On the contrary whenever I try Toe shifting, the noise is very much audible and the effort needed to shift the gear is slightly more compared to heel shifting.

Thanks guys for ur advise... I suspect one more culprit for this sound is Clutch.

If you Engage Clutch partially, then you would experience this sound, else when you completely press the clutch lever gear transition is smooth.

My clutch is little hard, thus I sometimes press it partially n may experience this sound...

                          Is your clutch hard too?

                          • @vishnu, you can use semi synthetic after 9k also no probs at all... my point here was if you want to move to semi synthetic oil then the mentioned time is good for your bike

@msn1, you are right ,the things i suggested are for those people who are in an idea of upgrading their engine oil
