If you disagree then tell me the name of any 150cc segment bike that can do a whooping 135Kmph stock and am not talking about speedo indications here.
It has some other reasons. And please see this. Here the maximum speed it can attain is shown as 123.7 kmh at 8500 rpm.

    Thanks for these nice words.

Please clarify whether the tap was closed when you were in 6th gear or the bike was started after closing the tap.
In either case, you are getting very good fuel efficiency.
IN every case the bike engine was on and the knob was closed when the bike was stationary in neutral and then started the test.

How do u tell me tat mileage is 65?

In R-R method i only get little more than 45km

        Due to two reasons.
        1. I am getting a mere 800 - 850 meters when I start and ride the bike after closing the fuel. Yet my FE is 62-64. Your claim is that you are getting 1.3 or more kms.
        2. Riding with a small quantity of fuel in the carburetor is different from our usual riding. This may be the reason for that 45 kml. If it is correct, you have to polish your riding style.

        However, check the mileage properly.

        • Guys,

Replaced Oil and Oil filter myself.
Motul 5100 15w50 Semi-Synth Rs 420/- (Rs 470/- actual minus Rs 50/- Sudexo that came with it)
SGP(Suzuki Genuine Parts) Oil filter Rs 35/-

          bought:
24 mm/27 mm ring spanner for (Axel nut)
          8 mm T nut driver
17 mm Socket spanner and an L lever for it

Thanks to all of you for being supportive...

after replacing oil; tightened chain myself. Don't think I'm exaggerating here when I say easy revving in lower gears was re-assuring.. when you feel chain is loose; get it tightened(optimum as described in Manual) right away..

I do not recommend either Motul Chain cleaner or lube; just my personal opinion as of now.

Wait, what do I hear! new breed of bull in town.. Why I feel like "I should have waited one more year!" anyways, congrats to all owners of new breed of GS150R ...

According to the site, mine should do 148.8Kmph in final gear, but in reality it does only 125Kmph and that too speedo indicated.

            Thanks for these nice words.

Actually, I was planning on buying the GS150R myself, and what I said are'nt nice words, they are the fruits of my research, the only reason I did'nt go for it was cause, my family was'nt comfortable with the ride.

Are you referring to ride comfort?

148.8 kmh at 10225 rpm? That program is a theoretical calculation as Sparkot said. If anyone claims to have achieved more speed than shown there, it is either a false claim or a speedometer error.

                        • @All: Please check&lemme know if GS150R's disc pads are suitable for Fiero F2, as both the bikes have their disc brakes on LHS.
Need to confirm disc size 1st.

But in your case more fuel would be required to inginte the engine itself and some to bring the engine to temp and since you would have left the bike in off position for some time. there are some chances that fuel may get evoporate from the hose pipes which is exposed.

My riding style is that to give constant 5 to 10 percent of throttle. thus i spend more time in lower gears which is contradictory statement of " shifting to higher gears as soon as possible" .
i shift at 4 k rpm and undershift while engaging 6 th gear.

Is that method correct or Do i need to give 50 percent throttle and shift to final gear by burning more fuel and give constant 10 percent throttle in final gear???
                            Plz suggest

Due to many reasons, the FE varies in real time riding. The 62 kml is not the result of driving in bumper to bumper city traffic. It is the average of a total riding of about 2000 or so kms.
That 45 kml is an imaginary figure, based on nothing. First of all, take a certain quantity of fuel in a jar and ride through your usual route in your usual riding style as you are not testing the maximum FE of the bike, but what you can achieve.
The mechanics in the SC will surely help you in this case. Let us see the result.
