What was the max speed you've reached?

Yes, I do. My wallet has been shaved by the interceptors on that highway twice for attempting this.Originally posted by 2strokerama View PostThis happened on the Bangalore - Mysore highway. But there are some good roads around bangalore to consistently hit those speeds. The NICE road like you said, stretches of the the inner ring road, NH7, etc. Just need to watch out for interceptors.
Do you stay in Bangalore?

I've had to shell out Rs. 800+300 from both the incidences.

Glad you didn't done that in Chennai... You'll be asked to swipe your card too..Originally posted by vikhyath View PostI was not fortunate enough to find such a good cop.

One little incident happened on the 4th day purchase of my GS ,that's on Sunday..
I'd taken a left turn from a main road instead of taking it from service road at the main hot spot area in chennai... Also my license was missing in my wallet..I was asked to give 1000rs, they're telling that what I did was caught in the cctv which was held there.,
I humbly told him it was my mistake only I can pay the fine sir, but please give me the receipt so that I'll claim it from my company...
Then he come down and told me fine is Rs.500 and he asked me whether I've money to pay.. I told him yes sir I've money to pay.. After that he was checking where I'm working and what was my work like that..
Later he let me go..
Even this things also happens....

Saar, let me also humbly ask you if its ok to risk a pillions life at 40 or 80 kmph? or is it ok to risk my own life at 120 kmph? In my humblest of opinions, control and anticipation (and a bit of fear, both for your life and interceptors) are more important than simply not speeding. Youre as liable to get into a bad accident at 60 as you are at 120. Besides, I did not speed on a crowded city street. It was a relatively empty highway where the uncontrollabe variables are much lesser.
And the interceptors here also pull you over, show you by how much you were speeding on their computer and fine you 300 rupees, not just hath rupai.

Since it's you riding at 120's you've your own rights to risk your own life...Originally posted by 2strokerama View PostSaar, let me also humbly ask you if its ok to risk a pillions life at 40 or 80 kmph? or is it ok to risk my own life at 120 kmph? But controlling the bike at average speed is little easier & not so in higher speeds like hitting the red marks
in top gear...
It's just my opinion & it's upto you to decide & accept your brothers request.
.
Don't mistake me dude...
Enjoy riding..

Same is the issue here. I was caught by an Interceptor van which records video and the speed at which you are riding. I was riding at 60 km/h when I was pulled over. All the speed limit signs on that road read 60 but after arguing with cops, I found out that its only for cars and the speed limit for motorcycles is 50 km/h. Not in one sign was it mentioned what was the speed limit for bikes. From that day onwards I try to commute through gallies and service roads whenever I can because these people try to make you pay by whatever means they have to resort to.Originally posted by gmagesh14 View PostGlad you didn't done that in Chennai... This was 6 months back too. After this incident, I started following the Bangalore traffic police page on facebook. Indeed, the speed limit within the city confines is 50 km/h for 2 wheeled motorcycles.Originally posted by 2strokerama View Post^^^ When was this? Its been a while since I passed along nh7. Some 6 months back, I got pulled over for going at around 70 when the claimed limit was 60. Has the speed limit been reduced?
