two months once i used give my bike for service; while we open the chain covers
always we found greasy stuff accumulated much near the speedomeeter cable end point and some more dust with grease on inside the chain cover

i used to spray old engine oil on chain using the window provided in the chaing cover, seems it makes the dust particles to settle down on the chaing cover and till now it works well

and the snap from your Sony DSC W270 is good

        Thanks for that compliment.

It is difficult to apply oil properly through that window in our GS because the chain is positioned a little higher. To apply oil in the inner part of the chain, we have to remove the lower chain cover.

Yes but am using the spraying can its nozzle is good enough to touch the chain and rotate the wheel and we can spray it well with this

this can is widely used across almost in all mechanic shops

            • hey guys i have a question..when we do the can test..the can is connected to the carburator?? if yes then isnt there fuel already in the carb, cylinder(a little) which may be enough to put off the mileage?? so how to ensure that carb is empty.

if no then where is this pipe inserted?

normally SVC or the mechanic used to connect the pipe from can to the carb, but before that they disconnect the existing connection from fuel tank and run the vehicle to empty the left out petrol in carb

                      Owning Suzuki GS150R.
Iam having problem with this bike still starting day.
                      Problems:

                      1. Engine noise & vibration

please eloborate both about noise and vibes, if i have similar issue from day one the day two i will spent it with SVC on fixing the issue

                      2. Not satisfied with disk brake

even i don't like rotties, common brother tell us what is the exact issue, we all here doest have big issues with breaks except the one we are already aware of and thats not a big deal or big issue to worry about

                      3. Chain getting loose very frequently(for every 250to400KMs)

till now how many kilometers your GS passed, dont leave the SVC until they fix your issue
                      my answers are in bold,

in case if you got feed up with the way your SVC handled the issue please report your issue on the following web link

If you plan to replace all these parts, try to get an insurance claim with the help of the dealer.

I just want to change the mirror, everything else is manageable since its not major..BTW thanks for all the price quotes

                          • My exp of forgetting to turn on fuel tells me, petrol in carb alone can take you around 1 km
Tuning your carb for mileage is not enough. Exploit it, prove it by kms on odo against total fuel consumed over a period of month or more.

                            • Nandi hills sounds great, coz, I never been there.
Exchanging each other's bulls sounds even greater. When is the meet up?

                              Kms under my belt.
I'm planning to take off sari guard and that extra mud guard fitting under rear number plate.
I'm also planning to get those moulded number plates with RTO's halogram on them. An inquiry about it suggested the cost around Rs 700/- in B'lore. Does it get any cheaper around here?

Sorry for Jumping in,but be careful on the Nandi Hills Descent as maniacs with high revving two stroke bikes race up the hill and as they do not normally have horns(or headlights for that matter!),they might give you a scare!
While cornering during the descent/ascent watch out for small to medium sized rocks strewn around in the middle of the road and honk the living daylights out when you encounter blind turns(There are far too many of 'em!) and FINALLY,"watch out for monkeys!".
