    • Hello friends Today is really a sad day for me because one of my friend asked my bike for test drive, before i give my bike to him i clearly requested him not to rev more then 4k rpm, but when he back after his test drive he said that pushed the bike more than 80kmph, i was really shocked and scold him.
Anyway after that i noticed my bike is little more noisy and also there is a vibration(feel able on foot rest) at 3.5k rpm i dont know why?

So friends, would this made any problem to my bike's engine
      Please i need your opinion

Going for the P180 DTSi UG3 would be a wise decision.

Pulsar135LS uses clip-ons, it again is costly and would adversely effect the handling of a the GS150R.

The vibration you feel is common in some GSs and is mainly due to the misaligned visor. Tightening the 4 visor screws may solve this problem. Try.

Now, forget this incidence. Your bike is perfect. Nothing had happened to it.

              Thanks Vishnu,
But I was wondering why they have used Veedol instead of that Suzuki brand Oil Anyway will be hunting for motul this weekend .
Also just found that this from the suzuki web site : Suzuki Motorcycle Services Centers for Suzuki Spare Parts Replacement - Suzuki Warrany Policy

Warranty is not applicable to :
If recommended Engine Oil/Lubricants are not used or if they are not replaced at the recommended interval

Regarding the rim tape, has anyone tried on GS? I think it will look good on GS(will be trying out soon)

              • Life of the chain depends on environment also,

Comparing to remote village, city builds up much more dust. And city dust contents are diffrent.

Take help from local mechanic and clean it at least 4 or 5 months once.

                Dr arul,

                The R/x for you is

Please check the bike tomorow if you feel the same unacceptable response or sound consult ASC

I hope it won't be a big issue.

One who owns loves, other amature guys always spoil it as its not their property.

It is true that the warranty will be void if the recommended engine oil is not used. Which engine oil is recommended for GS by Suzuki? As per the user’s manual, it is SAE 20W-40 engine oil and in case it is not available, SAE 15W-40 or 15W-50 or 10W-40 or 10W-50 or 10W-30.

The brand name is not mentioned in the manual or warranty policy.

As said earlier, Suzuki does not manufacture or market any lubricants. Some other companies like Castrol or Idemitsu are marketing their oils in the name of ‘Suzuki Genuine’ through Suzuki dealers. May be profitable to both oil companies and bike dealers.

To replace any part, the dealer or company does not usually enquire about the oil used in the bike. Therefore, no need for these exaggerated anxieties.

Yes, in remote villages, dust is in liquid form.

Thanks Vishnu for clarifying this(again and again)..
With my previous bike, I was not considering these minor things like which brand of oil, which grade and stuff.
But now I am getting these information as to what is best for my bike, thought of clarifying it before actually doing it.
                        BTW I was just curious
Did you received a PM from me the other day?

                            • During break in:

Some suggest: on the first night(yes, the very first night) of purchase let the bike idle for whole night!!! If not at least for few hours. This may give extra smoothness.
Some others suggest: rotate through gears frequently, and rev(gentle progress) it for few(20 - 40) seconds occasionally. This may give extra drag capability.

My theory: To achieve something great, effort needs to be persistent, not in short bursts. So, take care of your bike well; it'll give best results. Taking care is continuous... even after break in period.

To be honest : comfort feeling peaks when I'm between 60-80 kmph on my GS150R. I dislike 1st and 2nd gear traffic riding.

XTP is amazing! Lowest speed I've comfortably rode without clutch play:
                              3rd gear - 13 kmph
                              4th gear - 18 kmph
                              5th gear - 24 kmph
                              6th gear - 29 kmph

Bike thumps in 1st and 2nd gear; clutch plays major role.

yeah it sure is! I am now quite okay with riding my baby as this is my first time & i never learnt on anybody others bike, our gs is the most easy bike to ride with its fully balanced features. I used to hesitate to lean a little bit while riding.because of its weight but believe me that weight proves handy at turns also if you are at a normal speed(not too fast nor too slow) & you can ride great! Not to mention about grip at highways whoa this baby of mine surely rocks !gears & gear shifting getting smoother day by day !

Idiots on road: Find new idiots on road daily!
1)walkers on road as if we dont have footpaths !
                                2) youngsters playing on roads.
3)idiot youngsters who feel they have achieved something after riding a bike harshly fast !
                                4) & not to forget other drivers of auto rickshaw & other wheelers!
Surely our roads are full of idiots ! So drive safe , drive defensive..live to ride long !

1st skid: Youngsters playing volleyball on road! Gave light signal also horned but no avail, to miss a guy who came in front of me i just tilted the handle & there it was with brakes applied but thank god i controlled the situation did not panic & rode safely ! Without falling!

Completed 1000 kms yesterday had a great feeling(was a milestone for me!) now what according to manual running is 500 kms away ! & as per mechanic 1500kms away !

                                Problems faced till now:
1)2nd gear has very low pick up takes time to pick up the speed!
                                2) got a start-up problem today morning, it started but as i did not accelerate engine died & rpm fell to 0 also rpm was below 1 k (idle rpm), didnt start for 3times with self start then tried with kick but did not then tried again self it started it started rode for 1km came back home no problems then ! So was it a cold engine start problem ?
