  • Finally I Got My New GS

Hello Friends Finally Today Evening I got my Blue Baby

As suzuki person said[he said 12 days] exactly after 11 days i got this blue one Thanks to him and my dealer.

Complements : only a pair of Grip cover and 2 liter of petrol

Just for Checking : I asked them for mileage test using the CAN method, i got a result of 62 kmpl with all gears engaged

    Other Observations:
    1. I feel the butter smooth while shifting any Gear even i can easily shift any gear using my Toe no problem.
    2. Engine sound is much good when compared with my old GS(my brother also surprised with Our GS Engine note: he is a TVS dealer)
3.After parked in my house i was eager to hear that Tick-Tac sound but no such sound at all,(I dont why? but i dont mind that)

Final Word: Now only i can feel that smoothness what you guys speaking about

Now Time for some pictures( sorry for the poor pictures from my mobile camera)

Sorry i took the picture while cleaning is going on

I clicked this image when i back home, from the ODO you can find the distance between the Dealer and my home since i am from a remote village here
    Note:
    1. I ride it nearly 10 km before the delivery for testing purpose
    2. I forgot to set the time
    3. No way for Selection of bike, since only one Blue color was there

By moving air screw clockwise, it reduces air flow or increases fuel supply, hence mixture becomes rich, anticlockwise rotation makes mixture lean...

use a digital tachometer if possible while tuning...make the engine heat up sufficiently and set idle around 1500 +- 500 rpm. Some pages back Jayantnarangkar has mentioned about tuning carb. himself.
his setting: Tuning:- 3.3 turns anticlockwise from full tight
I still don't know what he means by .3 turns, is it 1/3rd turn or something else...
I think you got the air screw explanation opposite of what it is, but now even i'm confused so may be senior members will be able to clarify.

If i'm not mistaken its fuel screw (not air screw, atleast for 4 strokes) and clockwise makes it lean not rich.

(but as i said, even i'm confused now so let some senior members clarify)

      • Hii Guyz..............

        Hii Guyz ,

It's been months since my last post but every now and then used to check our forum. Really happy see so many new faces and welcome to our newest owner firegun . Special thanks to Vishnu, Mach and Madhu for keeping our forum so alive .

In last 6 months I have ridden less than 1000 kms , badly missing my bike.

        @falcon

4 strokes have fuel screw and 2 strokes have air screw. Clockwise in fuel screw is richer and anticlockwise is lean. It's just opposite in case of air screw.

As Vishnu says its better to leave tuning to the responsible professionals as the probability to mess things are much higher .

Just be patient for the video.............it will again answer doubts like my last top end video did.

I am just blown away by what the bike has become now..........

Today while going uphill on a short flyover I scored 110 kmph @4th gear with the rev still in 9200rpms and yet to go a long way to 11000 rpms

My cousin was following me with his friends in a rally prep Esteem, they were nowhere to be found in the RVM when I was apex at the flyover and they were still not in sights even when I came down the flyover at slower speed and cruising away.

But that car did try to keep up initially, only thing is that I vanished.

Spent a whole evening flying like rocket on city streets and showing off HID and boost power especially near malls filled with beauty and opulence...........my love GS150R is making me naughty

Returned home all wet at 11.00pm riding amid heavy rains on lonely city freeway with white lights blazing around.

I am so overwhelmed by this new life of my bike.....that whenever I go out I keep singing the song "Amplifier"- by Imran Khan

So,when I say I am having all the fun........I really mean it.

GS150R maybe a toy bike to many but it is the bike which taught me to handle heavy bikes and I have learnt good enough to thrash the mercurial BMW S1000RR around roads in Europe.Just the high speed adoption and braking reflex took time.

If Suzuki launches Bking in India I would buy it immediately........after all it is me who would have all the fun

I am not going for the Hayabusa because it has become very common among high biker circles and also I am more bent on straight bar handle nakeds like GS150R........the GSX1300 is exactly that.

Oh,and one more thing............any one who disrespects the GS150R in anyway,I take it personally. So lets be cool.

you're one of those. Really appreciated.

Yet I still ponder, why don't OEM come up with these mods and sell them to enthusiasts?

              @vishnu
It takes only money to buy CBR250. But it takes more to mod your fav bike.

Glad to see another villager here. I too am from a remote village. 62 kml is a good mileage; very few of us get in the running in period.

Nice looks and nice pictures. Congratulations.

No manufacturers use this kind of modifiers. Do you think some boosters like this compressor or some additives in the oil or fuel can increase the mileage or performance of a vehicle?

The scarcity of fossil fuel is one of the biggest problems we are facing and scientists all over the world are trying to find out an alternative.

Same time, the manufactures are trying to increase the mileage of their vehicle without decreasing the performance. These two factors never go together.

Here, the compressor is promising an enhanced performance and mileage at the same time, which is against the laws of this universe. That is my argument.

Plenty of this kind of aftermarket products is available in our country. A few months ago, some of us have enquired about an oil additive which claims to be able to penetrate metal.

Other fuel addictive claims to keep the fuel line free from rust. My doubt is, how is the fuel line full of fuel rusting?

I too am asking the same question you asked. If any of these aftermarket products are beneficial, why are the vehicle manufacturers – even one of them - not promoting it? If the doubt is about this magic booster compressor, go through the link provided by firegun.

Let the compressor, booster or rocket propeller or the antigravity machine said to be invented by Indian scientists (using the same technology of PUSHPAK VIMAN of Ravana. This machine may possibly be freely available in our market next year) or whatever be fitted on bike. No more comments from me.

Thanks Vishnu, Yes your are right about mileage we get.
and i think now the mileage will be increased a bit more as i mostly drive my bike at 6th and our village roads have very less traffic or sometimes almost no traffic on opposite side but this Goats and dogs always makes me to feel panic

Its possible only on a very long smooth road stretching over kilometers without any interference of any kind(traffic or animals)
or on a fast downhill, with the accelerator pinged to the max always with minimal air-resistance.

Suzuki GS150R's original speedometer is hard to fault,it shows a very mathematically related road speed without any front tyre size error.

It will show awkward speeds only if the sensor comes off and is dangling instead of sitting over the front sprocket.
