When : Sunday is fine for many i believe
what : We are going together to discuss and analyze our bike(s) performance, and yeah we can call it as boot camp.... and not to check who leads (no racing)
Nandi Hills is a nice place been there 3 months back, lets see what rest of all prefers
@ MODS [moderator] please review if this can be discussed with in this thread if not please open a new thread for usSarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

so its no from my end for nandi hills, will be able to make it if we do some thing with in Bangalore where the time we spent together wont be more than 3 or 4 hrs.
am not asking others to drop nandi hills plan but after the meet with in Bangalore those who are interested can go for the nandi hills trip
What about coming Sunday ?
Hey Falcon u there

I logged on after few days, nice to read the post about the meet.
As long as its weekend i should be free, unless something urgent comes up (unlikely but i have to mention it anyway).
I'm actually fine with nandi hills also, almost 2 yrs since i bought GS, and i havent crossed 100km/h even once on my GS.
But ya, no racing should be in bold. Dont want to take that risk.
If its just to compare bikes, then i guess nice road would be a pretty good option, though i dont know about the toll or any other details.

Problem :Sparks flying near the Spark plug
hii guys, i was returning home from college on saturday:9th july,2011, when i noticed my bike was giving jerks & was stopping when i got down to 1st & 2nd gears . i was stopping the engine was dying , initially i thought that the usual problem of water in the fuel tank must be the problem since i had only 1 mark left on the fuel meter.
i took it to the SVC shree sai suzuki, thane a advisor there told me the same said it could be it & said it would cost 120 to clean carburetor & Rs. 90 clean fuel tank. i thought that i should wait if the problem worsens then i would have gone for that.
i left for home, again the same problem bike giving jerks at low rps & 1st & 2nd gears ! so inspected the bike in my building , sparks were flying out near the spark plug i went back to SVC therethe same guy said its OK ! i was shocked
, i still persisted then he removed it cleaned it & refit it problem was solved again i went home , in midway same problem i went back to svc then he said better i change the SPARK PLUG CAP WHICH COSTED ME RS. 45 WITH TAX. i hoped that no problems would come now as a complete part was changed but then again same problem, then he said that he needed to check all the electrical so i left the bike there itself.
he took all the sunday he said that bike would be delivered till Sunday evening & he would call me . but no avail he did'nt even call me!! i called him asked then he said we have no issues now just want to check when the engine is cold !so i had to wait till monday i.e today after college i went to get the delivery . His repoting authority said the suzuki engineer was in the nearby workshop as his visit was not today & on inspecting he did not find any issues but those sparks were still coming out ! so he said that better we show the engineer the bike & told me that i would get my ride today itself. he also said that a similar problem was faced by a GS150R , keeping my fingers crossed, i dont want a huge bill, i have purchased the bike on 22nd may,2011 only, so can i demand a complete new bike if the problem is major ??
hoping i will get it today hard & strong!
give me your comments if you have faced any such problem & any suggestions are always welcome !

what guys do you think may be the problem ?I hope the svc guys are not trying to fool me & thrash a heavy bill on me ? because advisor who makes the job card i dont know what is their qualification, but he suggested not to send me the bike to the engineer & said whatever the engineer says i will have to change it compulsorily ? & can i make a claim of my insurance on this issue ?Last edited by vulcan; 07-11-2011, 03:30 PM.

Fire gun the time clocked on your gs when taking these pictures is 2:27pm & the fuel meter is atleast 3 dots & as MSN said that they run out the petrol left in carburetor plus they disconnect the cord of the fuel tank the when your petrol in the tank is over as seen . then how is your fuel meter showing three dots . friend i am not trying to prove you false not my intention just my doubt? & please give tips on increasing mileage !Originally posted by firegun View PostHello Friends,
Today i re-tuned the Carb. with the help of SVC guys
After that i made a fuel test using CAN method which is filled with 100ml of fuel,
test results about 64kmpl with all gears engaged
Below, i have attached the images also.
Note: previously my GS mileage was 62kmpl but now i think its improved(because of re-tune) even just 583 of ODO clocked.
And one more update, today i have changed the Oil and Oil filter.
