Thanks all of you!
That was exactly what I was thinking, connecting them in series. But if this will void warranty, i'll wait for some more time before I experiment.Originally posted by thefalcon View PostThere will be 12v leds in the market hopefully. not too sure...
...If u want to use 3v led then connect 4 of them in series...
By the way, i've asked in the service centre, they said changing circuitry of bike will void the warranty for all electricals in the bike..
Thanks a lot for the Circuit diagram mathewsyriac. Actually I was thinking of taking the powersupply from the rear no.plate light, which is direct from the battery 12V DC.Originally posted by mathewsyriac View PostHi!!!!!
The best method is to Connect a 1K Ohms Resistor in series with the LED...
Its Safe as the execs voltage will drop across the LED. In order to avoid flickering, a capacitor (say 1000mf) can be connected in parallel with the LEDs... This will filter off the ac components. And of-course use a diode to make it dc...
I would surely post pictures and explain the procedure once I do it. but As thefalcon said, it will void warranty. So I'll not do anything right now. I'll wait for some more time and then try it out. The LED i was planning to put wont fit to the stock socket. Some modifications will have to be done. In the meantime I'll hunt for 12V LEDs that will fit to the socket. I found on the internet that some chinese company sells it.But I dont know where to find it here.Originally posted by spacetech View PostHi Blitz,
... if you are successful please guide me as well. I want to know the procedures of fitting blue LED's as pilot lamps. thks

Hi,
Yup I think that would be a good idea. We should'nt be messing around with the electricals during the warranty period. Anyway when you do it just let me know....tc.::<<Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly>>::.

Hey Guys clocked 1600 on odo, got the blue babe on jan 15th, well so far the bike has just been amazing like real good i must say, i did not experience any sorts of problem till date, changed the tire to dunlop as its a soft compund and slightly wider than the stock mrf.
the handling has improved after the update the first 1400 i got an avg of 30km which i was worried but now i am getting around 45 and i hope it will increase a little more after 2000km.
the revving has just been really amazing i've hit top 88kmph after 30 mins of riding last week and oh my god it was brilliant no vibs and it stuck to the ground amazing grip and i could hear the sound of the wind and the engine sound dissappeared after 70kmps however after 85 it was slightly audible, did not feel the choking problem yet! the headlight beam was adjusted and sadly they have lowered it so much that it is almost same was the dipper, upper and dipper no difference i've got to fix that
.
the ridabilty has ful marks 2 hours ride did not give me any sorts of back pain where as on my discover my back used to ache after just 15-20 mins. i am totally satisfied with the machine, i hope to see more
i am sad to see that some of the owners here are having problems with thier gs's, trust me guys let it cross 1500 it will be heaven after that running at 6.5 rpm makes feel wanna have sex with the bike .. omg you willl love it ..till then kae sure you dont cross 70
!
best of luck , ride safe guys
! \m/
some aksed me about the pics i posted ....i have put a seat cover a one with long fur on it and then laminated gives extra cushion
...the radium on the wheels they come off not a problem if you give for a diesel wash they will come off ..so you have to be careful

I am using 12V LED from my old bike pulsar which I removed and fix it to MY GS150R .It looks great sadly one of the LED gone(bcos it serve for 4years).Its available in all auto parts shops even here in my small town, cost RS 30 for a chinese LED(pair) to 100Rs for good one(which i have one in my bike),it glows like xenon white, i can able to fix this to my car too for the park lamp purpose. But not sure about how much current it consumeABDUL KHADAR

Guys, i have this weird problem..
If my bike is supposed to go 50km more in main position and i go on a fly over and come down, my bike immediately starts choking, and if i try and ignore it, then it eventually turns off in 200metres and doesnt start until i change to reserve position..
But if i ride in reserve for 1km and then go back to main, it runs properly till reserve(40km or so)..
Any explanations ??
Its happened about 3-4 times till now (3k odo)

thats why most of them get wrong mileage calculation,I think this due to tank designOriginally posted by thefalcon View PostGuys, i have this weird problem..

So its not my problem alone
, it has happened with me also. I always set trip meter after refueling, whenever chocking occurs within usual range i turn knob to reserve and after a few mins return to normal mode to know whether its reserve for sure
. Mine has done 2.7K on ODO so far.
Looking forward to an explanation for this phenomenon....

OH, thats great bro, thanks. I did ask in some garages, but could't find them. I'll try and find them. I mean I can ask more confidently when I know something like that is availableOriginally posted by akfara View Posthi brother,

I think its with the tank design. The GS has a huge tank and can fill 20L till the top. The fuel outlet pipe is towards the back of the tank. When we descent on a slope, the fuel comes to the front of the tank, and when fuel is low, it starts choking as there is no fuel at the back. The good thing about this design is that, when we go uphill, even if the fuel is even close to empty, the bike wont stall
.

Has anybody changed the crash guard for GS ?
I am planning to change to it Hunk/CBZ Xtreme crash guard. Will the SC guys make the change if we take it to them, or should we take it to a local mechanic ?Quit tabulating grudges. Let it off. Discuss it, then trash it, don't recycle it.

Guys, how to clean that black part in the silencer ?
I don't think we can use water on it. But wiping with cloth doesn't clean it well, either.
What material is that one ?Quit tabulating grudges. Let it off. Discuss it, then trash it, don't recycle it.

Hmm.. even i keep praying that it doesnt stop on an upslope.Originally posted by BLITZ View PostI think its with the tank design. The GS has a huge tank and can fill 20L till the top. even pushing it to the side of the road will be a nightmare
Regarding the issue, it happened today also(on a straight road this time).
because the mileage was coming to 47-48 i put it back to main within 2km and i rode 10km till my house in main..
I never had this problem till first 3 services.!!
after 3rd service it happened once (may be twice, cant remember exactly).
And after 4th service(2 weeks over) already happened twice..
I think those people arent doing a good job cleaning the carb or tuning it badly.
