Actually showroom guys are charging around 73K and that too without other accessories. While other delears are charging 71K with accessories.
The on road price of the bike here is Rs. 68750/-. There may be differences in every state. But I cannot understand how a sub-dealer who gets bikes from the authorized dealer can be able to sell it in a lower price.
More than that the most of the modern tools used in the authorized service centre are not available with the sub-dealer and he has no direct connection or liability to Suzuki. One of our active member has faced this problem.
Once again note this: No sub-dealer can sell a bike for lesser price than the main dealer.

@vishnu:
Local delear just sells the bike. The service is provided by Suzuki Service Center itself.
Jayant is ryt, local delear save on octroi and thus provide at lower price..
As far as i know abt mumbai, they bring bikes via goa as there is very less octroi over there.
Also cousins have purchased honda shine and karisma ZMR from this delear and they service their bike at their repective company's service center.___________________________________________

All the usual maintenance works if you know how to do it; if not, nothing.
If you decide to remove the lower half of the chain cover to clean/lube the chain, be sure to rotate the wheel in the reverse direction to avoid accident like THIS. Putting the bike on side stand and moving the bike itself after cleaning/lubing a portion of the chain is better.
Still I am not sure about the benefits of cleaning the chain but it is my personal opinion based on my personal experience. A lot of us are doing it themselves or getting done at the service centre.

@vishnu
If iam not wrong,you do most of maintenance work by yourself. right?than how you do this chain cleaning?
Today i met a mech and asked him to help in learning how to remove chain and refit it accurately for cleaning and lubing, and this guy is telling that it will take at least 1 year
(may be he is afraid that i will stop visiting his workshop or may be it takes workmenship to do this activity.)

As it has full cover; timely lubrication and tightening keeps it in good shape. Apart from that there are many activities which we can do ourselves. let's list them out, we can compile a DIY manual which will be helpful to all of us.Originally posted by dhruv5588 View Post+1 please help us (noobs)
Can we have a format for it?? like a trouble shooting manual.
@vishnu: that link you have posted is disturbing...people will stop chain cleaning!!Last edited by mazaid53; 09-19-2011, 11:10 PM.anything that can go wrong will surely go wrong at the wrong time and the wrong place
