Not at all...when you talk about cruising it means the top speed at which you can cruise for hours.....for 200cc+ bikes its 100kmph+ but for 150cc it is 80kmph....and GS is capable of handling high speeds with great stability(check out my signature link)......don't know about dazzler though.....Originally posted by Guru_DTSi View PostThanks for the replies. A top speed of 100+ is nice and 80kmph cruising is quite good. So, I guess I can ask him to go for it. But the Dazzler seems to have cruising speeds of 100-105 kmph. Is that true?

Speed or power petrol or what every they call it as may contain some more addictives.Originally posted by mysti View PostAs currently topic of petrol is goin on, I want to ask that does using Speed instead of normal petrol increases engine life?
They might advertised stating it may increase mileage or performance or engine life what ever it is.
It won't make much difference to the life of engine
Engine Life depends up on several factors apart for engine oil and fuel (petrol), it majorly depend on the way you use the bike and the way it was maintained
Me and my brother bought splendor from the same dealer and his splendor is 2 years younger to my splendor, but on his bike gear box replaced thrice with in 5 years
And on 8th year his splendor engine got ceased and replaced with in 40k on odo. But mine never faced major issues even after crossing 1 lakhs kms and sold out recently for 22 k
At all the times we cannot stick to a specific brand; so maintance and bike handling matters more than all other things.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity
Currently Using Gusto |Enfield Bullet 500 | Ecosport Titanium+ Diesel

I came to know that coil rewinding with 19 copper wire causes a drip in engine performance, sound behavior etc is it true? please do share your experience at all speeds.....Originally posted by nagthemissile View PostAny updates?
For me, this modification is not for stunning or blinding the oncoming driver but for the safety of the pedestrians and myself. This is one of the main reasons for not fitting an HID.

GM vishnu,
Ok,i agree with you.can we do it the rewinding ourself or is it mandatory to visit a auto electrician to do this.(dumb guy in regards to electricity gk is considered).what is the make and cost of the hid you are using.i have seen somewhere in this forum that h7 has better through at high beam than with h4 ,any idea?
a small doubt, how much extra current the rewinded 19 copper wire the will make vis-a-vis the factory copper?both using the same magneto as a source.

Either rewinding yourself or in your presence is better because it is difficult to count the turns on each poles or measure the length of the wire used after rewinding.
I am not using HID. H4 bulb is used in our bike and H7 is not suitable for it.
We are rewinding the magneto/stator coil itself. The rectifier in the RR unit of our bike is half wave, i.e. one end of the magneto coil is grounded and the other end is connected to the diode in the RR.
So, replacing the RR is a must. Unsoldering the grounded terminal of the coil and connecting it to the new RR and connecting the headlight to the battery may perhaps be sufficient if 35 watt bulb is used, but I am not sure about it.
The current depend the total number of turns on the poles and the gauge of the winding wire used. Using an 18 SWG wire is better.

Shell Advance Ultra
Yesterday I went to Shell showroom to get some info about Shell Engine oil. The person suggested to use Shell Advance Ultra ( Cost: 755 INR ) ( Fully synthetic ) & it will last for 15000 kms...Is it true ??? If yes, What about oli filter ?? Do we need to change it after 3000kms .... Please reply ...
