I hit his back, full brake and the handle turned to the left and i fell...no major damage to me or the bike. Big scratch in the headlight(right side), scratches on the silencer cover(why is it chrome)..well the bike took care of me well. i am gutted though that 2 months old and already a fall.

positives from this were that the brakes were amazing. i was almost at standstill when my bike touched the car from 55kmph.

i thinks that the front headlight console is slightly twisted to the right. will have to get it checked from SVC on second service.

after the fall the bike became super smooth till i reached home. no vibes at all. but today morning on the way to work a lot of vibes were there. nothing unusual. but more that normal amount. i think i was in shock last night not to notice. Alls well that ends well...

The most foolishness thing one can do is trying to overtake through the left side, where the other driver never expects it.

But, as the bike became super after the fall, I think, it is good practice to hit someone’s vehicle and fall as we are trying to get rid of many simple problems properly. The monetary loss or police custody is not a considerable matter, taking in to account what we gain.

More than that it was a good brake testing. You and all of us are convinced once again that the GS’s brakes are fantastic and reliable.

If the scratch is not deep, try the paint pen and scratch out. The bent may be on the bracket/clamp to which the headlight is fitted. It costs less than Rs. 50/- and is available at the sc. Check it and if there is a slight trace of rusting, you can demand a replacing.

Anyhow, as you said, the bike has taken the utmost care on you. This is why I said our GS is the best 150 cc bike. No one believed it but how is it now?

Anyway, don’t try another hit and fall to get rid of the vibration. It is due to some other reasons.

The primary goal of every movable and immovable living thing is to live. Stick to it - to the life.

It is not an imported and repacked product with MRP and hence the cost depends. Anyhow it is nearly Rs. 200/- for a 207 ml bottle.

          • 330 kms away from my GS at chennai now...... Here is my inputs

            Sorry brother,

Can't post picture now as am at chennai 330 kms far away from my GS150R

            ----------------------------------

Yesterday visited the trade fair at chennai nandambakkam

Seen stalls of maruti, toyota, hyundai, Volkswagen and in two wheeler sector only yamaha was their.

They displayed the R15 SZ X FZ S
Was taken a closer look at it they added kicker to the FZ series

One executive asked me which bike you are using now ..... I said GS150R .... He is speechless and acts as if he is busy with some other work.....

            ----------------------------------

For scratches try to give a touch-up work with a closely matching color local paint leave to dry for a day and next day try with the pen

I have replied and please inform by posting here whether or not you have received it as most of my PMs are lost somewhere. I think it may be due to my faulty net connection.

In villages, we don’t get the facilities you get in the cities. That is why we, the villagers and you, the ‘city’zens are remaining rivals from the very morning of the day of hearing the peal of spring thunder all over India. Before that, it was not like that; there was no rivalry. There was peace everywhere, wherever we look.

                  • Went to my SVC and asked them to patch this up and they said they don't do that. Then went to another SVC since I came to know they do these kinda paint jobs but they said its a small(but yes deep) scratch and paint job would be costly and asked me to put some stickers on that or leave as is
Then went to a local dealer today and he said to come on monday

Looks like a DIY thing for me now
And about that vibes near handle bar..they re adjusted the visor and the vibes are reduced :-) So Vishnu you are right (again)

Even i am 6 ft and 63kgs.....and also a college student.........
its ideal for me though.....and it surely does give the big bike feel.......

There are no problems procuring the spare parts.....but make sure a SVC is nearby....

They are giving an upgraded version with just minor colour changes here and there..... rest i heard of a 180cc GS like the P180 and a 150cc slingshot....but except the minor paint and stickering changes nothing more to expect in the new upcoming model

I don't know when they are launching but regarding riding with pillion its little bit tough with this bike considering your weight being 60kg, but again its same in other bikes as well....Its just that the extra weight of the bike which makes riding with pillion little harder and also the height of the pillion seat adds to this...

                              • Giving my bike for 7th service tmw.

Below are the list of issues i am facing.

                                1) Chain loose

                                2) Gear stuck problem and also i get a loud thud noise when downshifting from 2nd to 1st.

                                3) Long back while riding at 25kmph i shifted gear but the bike suddenly had a jerk with a big noise and then moved. It felt like the chain got disengaged for a sec. Since then i get a mild grinding kind of feeling whenever accelerating above 4.5k..I don't know what to say but i would tell them to check engine sprocket, and the chain..hopefully this gets resolved...

                                4) nowadays engine gets off frequently during traffic signals..

                                5) Getting mileage about 38kmpl
