my friend bike also give some kind of different sound but he says no change in sound he is doing his wheelie in gs i cant get the point that u guys are saying its the heavy bike but how wheelie are posible

Well i was hoping to get Motul but can't find any currently If anyone knows about Motul Dealers in delhi then it will be gr8. So currently left with only two option shell and Gulf but gulf availaibilty is too uncertain most of the time only getting 900ml.

Wheelie is actually possbily in GS. Hope you watched Mach50's video on that. Also When I was smoking a fazer on mount road, Chennai. To my surprise, wheelie did happen [~70 kmph, raised to 7K - 8.5K rpm, 5th gear]... Its so gr8 to feel the power at 8K rpm.... so it is possible.

if wheelie are posible then how about stopie and other stunts?
Is stunting is posible in unicorn?

I think u got GS 2009 model(no dual color right?) in 2010 year....like rust issues for 2009 models for certain bikes....We have some problem in engine part(may be piston,bore) for which dealers is yet to answer it....Some of guys changed bore and piston in kerala get again that louder,Bad noise in engine after certain KM (for me its 6km onwards)...I called MY Main SC 140km away,he told gave ur bike to SUB SC mech,he will drive to main SC(140km)...I don't know what they will do without my presence...My main thought is should change to 2010 model bore and piston instead of 2009 models which some sets(bore,piston) have problem

Hi madhu bhai ....I am not expert in engine sound but ...having problem like adi... ..Even mileage too same like him but below 50kmpl(47 to49)..
Manfacture like suzuki should not treat a customer Like not answering their queries and addressing problem...
Got a irresponsible reply from South head Suzuki while i call in phone("why u called us go and ask ur main dealer") If dealer addess our problem why we need to call direct manufacture's
There is a column(help to find solution) in AUTO CAR INDIA for which they(autocar) helps its subscriber only ..by sending letter behalf US to manufacture's(I saw mostly for Cars they do..not sure for bikes)...
I know people who happy with bikes in performance and mileage will find same situation like USwhen goes to dealer(depend on dealer type)
What we Need is SPECIAL CAMP with proper attention .... Will SUZUKI will Addess it??????

shortlisted GS150R I need Some help Like In.

I have read almost 1st 50 pages of this thread and last 50 pages to check the new bike experiance..and then after a year experiance....

Is there any major problem with the gear box or the sound of the bike.??..

I like this bike and very happy with the test drive will book dual orange and black on monday.. So i need your suggestion.

1. What All are the problems which are faced by the bike ?
2. Fuel Efficiency ??
3. any common problems ??
4. Any Freebies we get with the bike. ??
5. What all things should we check at the time of delivery ??

hi brother, No major problems In 2010 model ..as Some of 2009 have issue's and Most of them solved by Suzuki (Rust TANK,RR UNIT,so on)..Only few issues related to Few 2009 models Yet to solve...
Common problems in 2010 models
HARD RESERVE KNOB,(can be loosen after U use quit often)
HEAD LIGHT FOCUS ,(can be adjusted)
Some small issue not serious enough.......
fuel eff most 2010 report(even 2009) 55kmpl ...
U can go As 2010 model is mostly trouble Free

well akfara i have 2010 model dual tone since i requested for that only when i bought it even though Mileage is not a big issue since i feel a little bit of carb tune and i will be good to go. But sound is very much there but after putting in Shell it has decreased a bit but above 70KM/h the sound gets louder. I am thinking of tuning my bike again and will showcase it to my local mechanic.

@Augustine i know about that thread the guy is no more a distributor actually now so that is the big issue.

if the bike is creating noise please use good oil for your bike...
go for Motul 3000 4t Plus very good oil and you will feel the difference...
I also use the same and do change your oil on time...
my bike is butter smooth and some times i feel there is no noice at all from ma bike...
regarding milage GS is really gd i never tuned ma carb as i m getting gd milage from starting ..
ma bike clocked 4500km on odo and milage i m getting is 62Km/ltr..

@Kiran man this time i was really searching hard for Motul but couldn't find any dealers so had to settle for shell. I wanted to try Motul since everyone has been recommending it. Also my mileage figures are disappointing for me personally because i am driving on 90% highways and getting 51Kmpl which would have been gr8 if driving in cities even though it is ok but considering that people post so many gr8 mileages that too on City road i feel a bit bad lol :P

Edit: I have personally done 5.8K kms in less than 3 months talk about riding. And shell has made some difference the pickup is uber cool even better than gulf and also the throttle response is pin point. I was afraid since when i gave it to the mechanic he told shell is worst oil but since i bought it had to use it and since no other option was there a little bit scared. The mechanic told engine will go down and power etc contrary to that it was actually good in overall pick up.

Even I did said the same thing
Just try changing the oil

More over your driving is typically highway and the average speed is around 70 kmph
so normal recomended oil change frequence doesn't fit

if oil change fixes your issue then try changing oil by every 1000 kms max.



@ akfara just seen simptoms of rust on my tank neck have to inspect again on nov if it grows will ask for replacement

This morning bring back my sted from service
Cold idle is 900 to 1000 rpm it doesn't stop
Warm is 1100 rpm

After 15 kms travel its still at 1100 rpm or 1200 rpm
Is that normal or tooo low

By the way my 4th service cost is nil

@MSN1 i drive at around 60km/h not more at times speed testing a bit.

Edit: MSN it is actually good since you will get lower engine noise in standstill position i had literally the same setting after my service and it was so nice but after few days it will come back to 1300 RPM. Till then no issues
