@xionite even if they puts 8 gears, 350 cc engine and 8 Valve Pulsar is a pulsar, and suzuki is always.......
Ok, send me a PM when u get back.

And ya, pulsar will always be pulsar, whatever bajaj puts into it.

    @*MIHIR*:
Any electrical mods can void the warranty, but i guess regarding bulbs, its ok to change the bulb as long as you dont modify the socket. that way you can put the stock bulb if anything happens and act like you didnt do anything.

Changing the tyre is ok though, just use the same size so they dont create a big fuss about it.

No its not specifically designed to competition with GS, its heroHonda's answer to Honda Dazzler, in other word its one more addition to the list of bike that shares the same reliable Honda 150cc mill

          • Guys pls help me out...

Recently I tuned the carb..I tuned it to 4 rounds anti-clockwise. 2.5 rounds clockwise from the factory settings & from there 4 rounds anti-clockwise. One of the fellow GS'pian told me I have tuned it to rich mixture. He said "It is better to be with in 3.5 anti clock wise turns from the extreme closed position (1 round anticlockwise or clockwise from factory position is max good)". That time I felt less pickup & the engine behavior was some what different. After his advice I changed it to 3.5 rounds from the extreme closed position. For some time it was good. At that time I thought it was a perfect tune. But after riding another GS I was shocked, as mine had very less pickup & lazy response from the engine (slow rev response) when compared to that & I also noticed that there was a major drop down in mileage (it has come from 56 to 42-48 kmpl). I don't know where the msitake lies. So can n e one pls guide me to bring it back to default settings/to the perfect tuning.

Will be waiting for the valuable suggestion guys..Thanx in advance..

i was the one who quote that, but i want you to mention the RPM settings have you tuned as per mach50 (tuned the idle too)

Are you sure is the petrol you are using is quantity wise fine

My GS Settings (its 2009 model)
Golden Screw = 3.25 turns from extreme close (0.75 than factory default {2.5})
My Warm engine idle = 1200 RPM
Cold start idle = 900 *this is everyday first kick start early morning
cold engine idle = 1000 RPM

              **********************

i believe default factory settings is this

Golden Screw = 2.5 turns from Extreme close
              Idle 1400 to 1500 Rpm

              ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
              @ Arish

thats true more over their are several other factors impacting mileage such as engine oil, petrol steelers in bunks, and how you calculate the mileage (am using Reserve to Reserve trip meter reset)

If the Tuning is done correctly then the bike must be giving an average of 55-60 i guess ????? but in speed range 40-50kmph ???
What about rash driving ??? if one accelerates from 0-70 or 90....then what would be difference in average ????

                • Hey I got a marvelous idea of modding the GSR without any adverse effects.
                  1.Upjetting
                  2.Free flow air filter
                  3.Spark Plug.

And I would try it on my bike within a couple of months.
We run a Mikuni BS26 carb-with general Mainjet size of 113 and its very similar to the 2009 Pulsar150 or the Fiero and the Wind 125.
I found that the newer Pulsar 150s are running BS29UCD now, which just the mainjet increased to 118 like that of 180Pulsar and higher diameter to allow more air intake.Power of the new P150 is 15PS on paper with stock exhaust and catcon on !!!!(though it runs similar to the GSR now).
Free flow air filter like KN airflow, are meant to increase the air flow.
Irridium spark plugs rises spark efficiency in higher RPMs.

So where does it all fit into

                  Its simple.
If we change the mainjet from 113 to 118(just go to Bajaj SVCs and ask for Pulsar180's carb main jet) of the BS26 on our bike,we are increasing the fuel flow at higher rpms, our power peaks at 8500rpms
Now to complete the package, drop in a KN air filter........done problem of big dia for more air intake gone
Next installing the Irrdium sparker would ignite this higher charge wonderfully.
Even with the catcon bolt on,all of us would be having a machine having 15bhp power and 14Nm torque........now just think of it.
Think of the sixth gear finding enough power after 8500rpm.......it would become something we all would like it to

Since we are not touching the pilot and other jet needles, nothing changes in the low-end or the mid range, though KN will help the low-end also.
But this time everytime it would register 130kmph on speedo easily.
Add to this, good quality synthetic oil........the bike would be a flying machine.

Somehow,I too believe afterall,short-gear ratios on this bike makes the Top-speed on the stock bike,a tough job for most of GSP-ians,so heres a solution by which not even a soul would know that your bike is modded.

                    great idea
but most imp que for many of us (including me).....fuel efficiency????
what i understood is that.....mileage wont hamper till 4000-4500 RPM range right???
                    n Warranty issues?????
what is catcon bolt??? many people say that KN reduces mileage..how can this happen???? according to my knoledge, more air in Com chamber should increase Efficiency along with power...right?

                              • Suzuki GS150R experience

                                Hi Guys....

After Doing A long Resarch of almost 3 months on Xbhp,

I Finally Came to a conclusion of booking Suzuki GS150R

I will like to share my experience with you guys..from the movement of booking the bike.

Forgive me for any mistakes. As i am writing this for first time.

And booked in yesterday... Will get the delivery tommarow..

Before Booking this bike i Had Many other Bikes in mind

Pulsar 150 : Very Odd, you can 8 out 10 on road. and again read about some engine issues.

HH CBZ X : i dint like the bike at all, the classic was awsome. and this new one is a complete desgin disaster (Sorry Personal Opinion)

HH Hunk : Never Thaught of this bike .

Honda unicorn : This was on the top list, but the waiting period and same old boring look.

On saturday went to the showroom for the test ride and service guy allowed me to take a test ride of almost 10 kms ...

Was very happy with the test ride...

Told him will come tommarow and book it, but the guy was like do it now sir we have a scheme..but finally came back without booking..

When i Went Yesterday for booking, again i took the bike for test ride and was totally in love with this beauty..

I told hi if you can give me all this free. I will book it right away...so he went to manager and came back and agreed for the same,
