Buy oil filters from Suzuki SVC.......they have them in store.....good quality oil filters, costs Rs.35 approximately.Check your oil level from a oilscreen marked with rule located on the transmission box,on the right side of your bike near the rear brake pedal. While checking oil level and color, start your engine and then stop it,put the bike on the central stand and check it.What bike have you got??? Suzuki Zeus or GS150R ???

By the way, that black component just next to the fuel screw,is it a microprocessor by any chance..?
I saw 8008 written on it, which is an intel 8 bit microprocessor.
Thats a really good idea you have got in the first place.Just go and tell the SVC that you lack pick-up from the bike and that your engine heats-up also say that you have cold morning starts and you are experiencing 70kmpl mileage After all this, you dont have to sweat it yourself again.Your tuning would be optimized with all respect

The black component is indeed a processor I think, the one which works for the electronic inputs from the modes(PWR,ECO and UKA-U know all ).GSR is a different beast.

A new Pulsar180 with pillion on board finds it difficult to keep up with me riding the GSR solo leave alone Unicorn and Dazzlers

Oil filters will be available only at Service Centre. Just follow the method Mach suggested. Gulf Pride 4T is a very good oil from what others mentioned. Just wait for today, see the problem persists the next day also.

      @ All

Today did a test ride of Dazzler on behalf of my friend. Frankly saying it didnt charm me! Even if it had, the waiting period is 8 months, can you believe guys 8 months? This Dazzler can be easily mistaken for Twister. Engine seemed very similar to Unicorn, actually I didnt feel much difference since the test drive was only 2 kms? But gear shifts were like knife on butter, so smooth, the best in its class. The rear brakes are set very soft. Saddle height is low compared to Unicorn. The bike is not nimble as FZ and lacks low end torque as well. As my friend was looking for comfort of pillion as well, he wanted to book Dazzler. But sales manager said it will take 8months no matter what. No problem, he just lost a potential buyer.

Unicorn is the best that Honda has got to offer still.
Dazzler is worse in refinement than the Unicorn, lacks good aerodynamics and so is not a good ride at 100+speeds,catches a lot of crosswinds and its light weight doesnt help at all.
Moreover Dazzler looks very moderate failing to get any style or character.

I only hope that they tweak, the Unicorn mill like they had done with the Dazzler......the GS150R will then have a worthy competitor on all counts.

Dazzler doesn't makes it even close to GS150R,when it comes to the all rounder character and Value for Money.

I wouldn't have chosen Dazzler as its not worth to shed 71K , but the requirements of my friend is different.
          1. He is 5 6", a beginner and one of his basic requirement is that he needs to put both feet on ground
          2. Spacious pillion seating for his mom
          3. Good resale value as he will sell bike after a year
          4. Must be a 150 CC bike

So bikes that fit to his requirements are only FZ-16, FZ-S , Fazer and Dazzler. FZ-S and Fazer are just for show so left are FZ-16 and Dazzler. FZ has tiny pillion seat so the only choice left is Dazzler.

New oil color is generally yellow...........try changing it by the time it is dark reddish.
When the oil level nears Low or goes below Low by the oil gauge on the transmission box of the bike, its better to change it.

Get the Oil filter changed too as instructed in the owner's manual.

1.Anup....do you imply that Dazzler is even shorter than the GSR !!!
2.As far as I know GSR has the best pillion seat in the whole 150cc segment, its plush and its wide. The Suzuki advertorial was every bit right in that Girl-friends would be impressed and pampered riding pillion on this bike....though I have no GFs LOL ....same goes for all pillion riders too
3.Sell the bike after a year !!!!! --Dazzler is indeed a good choice Coz he couldnt have had sold the GSR after a year !!!! by falling in love with it

No bro, he is still a beginner. He liked GS but he feel not so confident as he cant place both feet on ground and the bike is heavy for him. Since he had an accident while riding P180, I didn't force him. Now he plans to buy a modified Thunderbird Twinspark.

                      • Now after having thought about it a lot finally i have decided to change to Gulf Pride 4T Plus But provided it is mineral oil. Also the main reason for change is a lot of noise from the engine and getting lot of false neutral off late. I have done about 2.4k kms till now so i don't even think Castrol will go any longer. And I am getting a lot of thud sound while downshifting in every gear. Earlier it was only in 2nd and 1st gear now in all gears facing this issue.

I read the manual it says use 20W40 Grade oil but doesn't mention anything that you should use only Castrol or Suzuki oil anywhere.

Also Getting lot of sound from my rear probably swing arm any way to rectify it?

                        Also is 900ML Enough?

                          NO !!!!!
Suzuki GS150R requires actually 1100ml of oil, even though if it mentions 1000ml.
1100ml is actually what is required for best running.

                          • So i have to buy 2 bottles to fill it up right? And Anybody Till now had any issues about suzuki complaining about not using there oil. Since i have done my first service thought of switching to Gulf since Castrol oil has become really dark and i can feel the roughness. So wanted to try Gulf since quite a lot have tried it if it runs for 2500 + Kms then i am fine with it since Castrol has not even done 1300 Kms and already is looking bad.

                            • 1000 ml is enough

Adi, filling 1000 ml will bring the oil level slightly above the middle point of Full and Low. So thats enough, 1100 ml is suggested when we are changing oil filter. I took a time to convince my service engineer , to let me use another oil of same grade. The main reason why they make it mandatory on fear that we may use oil of different grade. After 1000 km Castrol loses its viscosity and thats what happening to you. Mine has done little over 500 and my engine has gotten a little noisy but gear shifts are still good. Adi it will take some time to settle the gears. Mine got steady after third service . Go for Gulf as its confirmed that it uses a mineral base.

                              • Even Gulf is not 1000ML i doubt even Castrol is 1000Ml most of the engine Oils come in 900ML packs probably will have to get 2 bottles. Any way any idea about the Price.
