Good. Motul should be fine too. today i came very late from office. have to do oil and filter change first thing in the morning. have two cans of petronas with me.

experts in chennain xbhp saying even 5k is fine to change to synth .

    Guys,
AGIP fully synth was very good and even after 2k kms its good and it may last for another 2k but im planning get rid of mineral oil residues so changing it. AGIP fully synth is very good and you will the smoothness after 500 kms. initially you hardly notice any difference.

After tappet settings adjust, clutch play and chain play settings my bike is smoother smooth even with 2k kms old AGIP

Should be just perfect for the city where acceleration matters more than top speed..

      @anup:
      Ok, i'll check it out..
by the way, my SC didnt recommend doing that AC to DC conversion for the pilot lamps
They said messing with wiring isn't a good idea.

If i find good LEDs i guess i'll just connect them to the AC pilot lamp sockets only..
If i do get these LEDs, can i change it myself ? i remember reading that some rubber part needs to be replaced when we remove the headlight and fix it again ?
Yes its me quoted abt rubber part as my Sub SC told, and he latestly told me to buy pulsar visor screw with rubber parts ,so i did and changed to NEW twin bulb LED when i went service 10 days back....
So get a pulsar visor screw with rubber bush in hand while changing LED ,acually u need rubber bush only ,they won't give rubber bush only,so keep the screw as a spare ....
I was not look the thread for 10 days ,due to mysore trip,......I did'nt see a single GS in mysore but see one near ooty while going a trip there from mysore....
Any GS owners from mysore ????????

My GS150R did 128kmph top speed as indicated by my bike And I was just after a Karizma doing 138kmph on speedo. The Suzuki GSR is really a very tough 150cc bike. The bike cruise at its top speeds for hours together, without any protest from the engine !!!! As I was doing the trailing job in the group,I really had to sweep up the slower bikes in the group and while catching upto the rest of the group,I blasted past at 116-117kmph overtook trucks at 122kmph with the likes of RTR160,RTR180 and R15 following my lead, then let them by,as they fall into the moving group, and I slow back to 105kmph for the trailer position It was fun playing the cruise game with this bike.Nevertheless we also had a Yamaha YZFR1 in our group ..................and also a bajaj platina but when we had our tea or drag racing halts,The platina was told to keep riding, which we would catch up within few minutes

There were reasons why the owner of the R1,enquired about my bike leaving aside everything else,he plans to sell off his P220 Dtsfi of his daily use and buy this versatile bike

Nice one buddy..........128kmph......lolz....indeed GS is a superstar......till now in mumbai XBHP we have two GS owners who would be chipping in for the friendship day G2G......ne other GS ownercoming for the ride????

          • guys...heres one more proud gs owner...after analysing for around a year..and after a great confusion of what to go for... GS or Avenger..(all of my friends said avenger but my heart said GS and Avenger ya..both )...i got my bike GS today morning by 11 A.M...(bunked the morning session class ).... in my town it's 70,280 on road...no free accessories...gave rs.100 each to service mechanic and service head...(there are only 2 ppl for service...ya...those 2 ppl ...apart from dat 2 more ppl are working for sales..with a manager..so totally 5 ppl)...procedures over by 11.30... went to temple...then started to coll by 12.30...it's a 50 mins (at normal speed - 50 to 60) ride of 40 kms....in Thanjavur - Trichy express way....maintained 4000 rpm....gave her a 5 mins break (to cool the engine) after 10 mins ride.. then again drove for 20 mins then gave 10 mins break..then again 20 mins ride..reached the coll....i knew while i was riding the last 20 mins that i'll be late for the class...who cares ??...it's my GS in run in...i didn't increased the speed...

it was smooth..and wat made me impressed was the big bike feeling...the bike was sturdy...

the wind was blowing like hell...in tamil nadu we call it as aadi kaathu...aadi - tamil month...kaathu - wind....the wind flow ll be heavier in this month every year...but this year, it's so heavy...i've never seen this much of wind flow in past 10 years...

so while going the air resistance was high...but while returning back, man it was so nice...it was pushing me ...gave her interval, like i did while going...then i noticed a sound... kreech...kreech...kreech....(new sound apart from our familiar tak tak, tic tic, knocking )..(i guess this is the sound which someone mentioned like a screw is freely rolling inside the engine)...i was worried then straight away i went to svc centre..and went to mechanic directly and asked him...he said "don't worry boss..it's just chain sound.. it is loose and it comes wen u ride fast..bring the bike after 200 kms, i'll tight it"...100 rs working ....

and i asked about engine oil...they are using MAK oil..i dunno abt it's quality...and they agreed dat they will change whatever brand oil i'm bringing...they also said dat suzuki didn't recommend any brand...

i'm thinking to go to college often in bike..and as it is express way..i hope i can do a good run in for my bike..

i'm reading this thread from the first post onwards...but i don't ve good memory...and thank you guys for helping me to choose this great bike...i'll post good quality pics tomorrow...

              • Guys, As planned i changed to petronas and changed the oil filter too. I went to a local mech who did it for 10 rupees.

Engine is smooth and gear shifts also very smooth.

Only thing im worried about is...

When changing the oil filter. that guy tried to place the o-ring and place the filter inside but it was keep on falling so he placed a small pinch of white grease and placed the o-ring and put it inside.

Will this cause any issue ? im worried very much. Please advice.
