Yes the UB halonix is no match to the default lamp if it comes to long drive "HIGH BEAM" but on local rides with "LOW" beam its coverage area is better than the default lamp but in roads with good lighting you can't find where your headlamp light falls coz it gets disappeared in the bright yellow street lamp light

    @ Maestro

May be our driving ishtyle makes the diffrence

Coz I drove my bike around the same particular area / roads on all three modes.

And my top speed wasn't more than 60 kmph

In view of diwali posponed my svc visit to 10th of this month

adjusting break pads (even after several preasured water cleaning screeming sound is still there)

    Cleaning air filter

    Clean N lubricating the chain.

Front fork oil check (sound comes while going thru patchy bad roads)

dont think it should be an issue so go right ahead and enjoy yourself since the GSR is a very capable tourer on which I too have munched quite a few thousands of kms touring! some small items to keep in mind:

          - correct tyre pressure/ enough fuel
          - get your chain lubed/adjusted since it has a tendency of getting loose
          - keep some essential parts as spare - spare tube, accelerator cable, tool kit
          -trust bike was serviced recently
          - bike papers in original if you are leaving the state
          - and most importantly, ride safe on the highway, and would suggest to avoid night driving to the extent possible

          cheers

I am looking to change tyres on my 15k run GSR. Recently have had a couple of low speed crashes on gravel because of which have lost confidence in the stock zappers.

Which one would you recommend for grip on gravel/muddy roads.
And also, I want to stagger the purchases. So which one should I buy first - front or rear.. I predominantly use the front brakes only. Rear only 10%.

For now I have zeroed in on Michelin M62 for the front and Sirac Street for the rear. Can anyone share their experiences with these tyres with me..

            Thanks & Regards

u mean SIRAC 120/90 ...Go for M45 which suits our GS 4.00x18.00(already some of GSPians using it)...consider Ceat vertigo too for rear....For front no idea

Dont just see rating alone read and understand what they said please do not miss-interpret according to your wish.

Do you know whats the rating they gave for your favourite bikes check the same website and learn.

13.8 bhp is okay for a commuter bike.

Coz more the bhp less the mileage you get.

If you are a biker then you should be aware of suzuki hayabusa and gixxers available in india. Ask your favourite company to give such bikes.

Even I am intrested to see
                      Apache 600cc pulsar 1000cc dddtsi

Any way the streetbike you asked is on its way will be available before 2011 march. refer the same ********** for more info

                      • The customers are free to go for their preferences, if they are happy with thier preferences why do you have to worry? If a company is not manufacturing quality product it only will suffer. And every bike has some good quality but with some adjustments. i agree pulsar and RTR are good to certain section of customers while the purpose of GSR is serving commu-tourers.

Hey Madhu and venuvinodks, stop arguing with him, he'll eventually stop posting these lame posts.

And venuvinodks, if you want dc pilot lamps, you can just extend a wire from the rear number plate light to the front pilot lamps, it would be in dc, and it will work with the same head light switch, its the easiest method to convert pilot lamp to dc.
