If not planning for HID, try Osram NB or Philips X-treme Vision.

Happy I've earned a lot of hearts here.

          Thank you my friends.

Already I've installed 55/60w Osram Bilux ,next few days I'll run with this head lamp.

Then I'll switch on to Osram NB plus.

Will not go for HID w/o a projector setup.

its long time since i entered in to this forum, once i was a frequent visitor.
my GSR is 14 month old now, and running 17,000 odd kilo metres. Its fairly nice journey with her. she is cool, and sturdy. engine is smooth and overall a no problem bike.
            some observations
            • fuel economy is on an average 50-52 kmpl which is good for me
            • have changed HL bulb in to osram nightbreaker plus which is giving good output
            • have changed chain sprocket last week for the first time
            • ride is is like waaav..that delux experience.
            • tank rusting is a problem, i changed once under warranty.
            • some say pick up is not that great but, for me it is not a negative, i like gradual pick up and cruising experience.

all I can say is that i too had many apprehensions like many while chosing this bike. i was following this community, and slowly and gradually i fell in love with this beauty, now she is adorable
hey welcome back bro So GS owners increasing in Mangalore?

Do you plan on installing a HID because it can drain the battery pretty quickly.
              ____________

I parted with the GS which I was riding since the past 7 months. Quite sad but I have other plans as stated before

My friend...HID takes less current as compared to halogen....only for startup it draws more and then gradually decreases the consumption...

Hey Maestro is your camera mount for your bike a DIY mod or did you buy a camera mount?

                      • its using a p135 number plate holder with a custom base and fitted on the tanks mouth.....drawbacks for me were...height was less.....also you can't fill petrol unless you remove the mount.....

How about some pics of the throw and spread of the beam?

                              • As of now they are in words:::

                                1. Confident level of the rider (hey it's me) at night is up by 95%.

                                2. At slow speeds , say less than 2.5k rpm, this setup helps to read the unknown & uneven roads perfectly.

                                3. I could able to spot/see the road even when a TATA ACE is coming opposite with a high beam. This guys are having high power lights (dont know it's a stock one or not).,their light's throw & spread were very broader..

                                4. Our GS headlight spread is very excellent., in City road conditons riding with a Low beam just covers the whole road clearly... Thanks for that brilliant reflector..

Yet to take my bike a long ride at night to check its performance at highways... Will post that results too..
