Honda is pushing Dazzler by making the unicorn wait period at close to 10 months

The sound is coming from the nut connecting the swing arm and the chassis and definitely not from drive chain. Its not a serious problem, but its a very annoying sound. If you hear any metallic sound while riding through a gutter it may be due to loosening of the chain.

If you are interested you can read this about Catalytic Converter.
Can you explain about this chu-chu sound. When is this coming?

Nice one Bond... I was actually looking for the bullet but my parents opposed as I was a thin guy. They said you cannot handle it.... I know many thinner guys than me handling it very well.. anyway since budget was also a constraint, I settled for the GS for its weight and size... [even though it can never match the RE]. Believe me I learnt to handle it well in peak chennai traffic and my bike does it with ease...

Now with 16.8K kms on the odo... My bike does very well in this rainy chennai. Had ridden it for more than 120 kms in chennai traffic alone this weekend.. no probs faced till now (touch wood)..

        • Hi Guys,

I found rusting in my bikes petrol tank inside mouth. My bike is 1200K.M@odo and 1.5 months old 2010 model. I am surprised to see that rust inside the mouth where we pour petrol.

Even I am satisfied with the bike and its performence and handling in traffic, also getting good mileage 56KMPL and no specific issues and am very surprised to see rusting in 2010 model bike.

What should i do? I am going to the service center next monday as i am going out side mumbai this week.

Ant suggestions on what are the other places may where rust araises and what should i ask the dealer (replacement of tank or repair) ????

take snaps of it and do made sure it was uploaded so as anyone can see it on Internet

mention your issue in Suzuki Motorcycle Corporate Office also paste the link to see the photo of the rust
            mention your dealer details too

do the above steps two days before you visit the showroom / dealer most probably dealer or suzuki will call you

Bro, it is coming as soon as i start riding my bike. I think on every rotation of wheel, a noise comes. I am saying that because when i speed up the frequency of sound increases and when I slow down it decreases. But when i mount my bike and rotate the wheel no sound can be heard.

@pavan_cin: My bike is 1.5 months old and its mouth was too covered with rust. I showed it to dealer but he said its the red oxide coat.... and he cleaned that up with a cloth. I doubt on him that it was rust or red oxide.

It can be heard even while riding, have never experienced such a problem. Does the sound increase when you apply brakes?

I think the S.C guy really got you as one cannot remove red oxide coat just by wiping with a cloth. Examine the whole of the fuel tank with a torch for any rust, if there is any follow the tips as said by Madhu.

Not a serious issue. Fill the tank to the brim (up to required level only) and ride. It will go away in time. It will not come back again. My Dazzler had the rust at neck when I got the bike. I generally do fill the tank full and it never happened again.

                  • Hey guys,

I've been doing a few long rides recently and GS is proving to be a very good choice for long rides. The engine is stress free even after covering 200-300 km continuously at speeds of 100-110 kmph.

Except the chain issue, everything is perfect. I was not satisfied with Millers Road Suzuki's service here in Bangalore. So, got it serviced in Pondicherry. And boy, service was really good. They checked everything and cleaned the exteriors of the engine alloys and gave it like it was a new bike. Was really impressed.

Could anybody tell me how you carry luggage while touring. I was using those rubber ropes. But its not very reliable. If anybody could give me an option i'd be happy.
                    All peace Bro. xD

                    • If some one wipe it off with a cloth means it most probably it cant be rust because in metal rust can be fully wiped off using saltpaper after removing, We can see the metal body not the paint. More over rust will spread even after removing gate to paint the complete area to stop it.
and it will not go off just like dust so please inspect again after some days

                              • Hi friends, I am getting sparks around my Gs's spark plug, i mean between the rubber cap and the casing.
I am getting this when my engine is considerably hot (when ride more than 25km). and Its visible and heard at low rpm (1300-1500), that is when i accelerate gently at this range of engine speed, sparking occurs with sound and engine struggles and stops So whenever engine is hot i have to accelerate a bit to avoid stopping. There is no sparking when the engine is cold.
As this is my first bike I dont have any idea about this (ODO 13200km), did any of you guys experienced/heard of this problem anytime?
