+what do you mean by engine struggling? I never ride higher speeds in lower gears or lower speeds in higher gears.

My SC is saptagiri suzuki showroom attached SC on Rajkumar road just before the signal towards sujata talkies and majestic if youre approaching from yeshwantpur direction. I can vouch for the service manager being a good and analytical man who runs things fairly well, but I cant say the same for the people who work under him or his superiors. I was actually considering airport road SC for any major work on my gadi, which I heard was the best of the lot in bangalore.
thats right try a 300 ml bottle test brother

struggling means engine breaths hard to pull you can feel that if you drive in low speed on top gear,

      • MODE changer

        @ anup
How you know whether ur mode changer is working,no no don't misunderstood my question? we all know ...the light blinks in eco mode while crossing 4.5k RPM and so on so for other modes...
What i feel is there is no difference in selecting this mode
If some body telling there is certainly difference.......
If this unit malfunction what will happen only we get warning lights instead some power in power mode...???
ANYbody tell me what if that unit(mode or fuel mapping) connected in our carburetor works not at all ...what is the effect of that
I am not worried if its just for gear shifting while we choose mode, if its fuel mapping and its malfunction means i am worried....I hope u got it...catch my point

        • Finally i purchased 300 V Factory Line 4T 15W50 Engine oil at the rate of Rs.850 at AH Helmets. (Thanks Ninad)
and the vendor said that "no need to change oil for next 4000 kms" is this works like this?
But the SC guy scared me by saying that "Engine Piston may affect by these oils. because we use 20W50 oil."
Is this true what did he say?

It seems like ~42-43 in pwr for you. Ill wait for r2r post.
Sorry boss, i have refilled my bike with 16L(tank full) before my bike going into Reserve due to petrol rate hikes. Till the time my trip meter showing 166KM (with 3L petrol) and still pending for reserve. So it is getting 55+ in power mode also.

I mostly varied the speeds on heighway between 50-80. My daily travel includes 37KM(Express heighway 20KM, Medium city traffic 10 KM and 7 kM is very high traffic@Sakinaka junction, mumbai).

                • Tyre change query

Hi guys, my days with GS are rocking, already driven 600 km just withing the city itself in 2 days since my exams ended.
The bike I have is not a new one, but an year old 25k km ridden bike, so I am feeling like the tyres are torn out whenever I go off the road or during rough Indian roads are encountered. So either the tyre's pressure is not adequate or the tyres need replacement which I am not sure of.
I didn't got its owner's manual so I don't know the exact tyre pressure required in both tyres, someone please mention it from the book here on this page.
Also if I am going for a change, then which one should I go for??
(I haven't dealt with tyres earlier, so don't know about them, just know that this bike requires tubeless tyres and I liked the MRF Zapper FS for front and MRF Zapper c and Moto D for rear, but don't know if these are tubeless or not).
Please do mention the price tags of these tyres as well to help me plan my budget for this change.

About the mileage problem I inquired about in previous posts, I think the culprit can be tyres as well, still now don't care about the mileage anymore since I can get the petrol at the lowest possible price(Rs 40 per litre for Speed)

                  • @ Abdul Khader

You asked how to know whether the modes are working or not, isn't it? I dont know way to check if its working or not and there is only a slight yet noticeable difference between the modes.

                    @ Balaji

Using a higher weight oil, the bike may feel sluggish but not for full synthetics. Nothing serious will happen, you can use synthetic since you motor is well settled.

Since Some people faced issues like forming a jelly like layer when used together with shell petrol, I gave up the idea of trying the refinement of synthetic oil, rather I would change mineral oil every 2000 km.

                        Gagan,
Moto-D is a nice tyre with excellent city rider with off roading capabilities, cost around 1300 rs. Zapper-C is only tyre comes tubeless in 100/90-18 category from MRF would cost around 1800 rs. Zapper-Y is 100/90-17 ideal for pulsars.

                          Anup,

Where was this layer formed? In the petrol or oil? How and where in the engine did the oil and petrol mix together? It is a pity that a person like you propagates such nonsense.

                            Abdul Khadar,

You are correct. There is absolutely nothing more than a reminding to shift the gear or limit the speed so as to minimise the usage of petrol and thus give a better mileage.

I too have not felt any difference in the power. I know this issue has been discussed at length. Even the manual terms it as RPM indicator. FYI i have surpassed 3400 kmts so far, and 90% ride is in blank mode, still almost all times i have got steady 55 plus mileage.
