Today when I went to give my bike for 1st servicing, I was curious to ride another GS. So I asked the showroom guy and he gave me keys of orange test bike. And to tell you guys, I was blown away by it...

.... I couldn't first believe Im riding GS150R...... It was soooo smooth... engine sound was same throughout and sounded much more refined and quiet than my bike..... I was surprised.... It had done some 2800 km on odo..!
Im going now to collect my bike. I will post the report when I come back.6 Speed Cruising >>--->>--->> Flying In Heaven

Hi Pune Guys,

Hey Akhil, i found Kothrud Suzuki better for buying the GS150R, because of the willingness of the manager and also the discount of 1000rs on full payment.
You can try local motor dealers where you may get a better deal. No matter where you buy, Suzuki service centers all over India will service the bike as per the schedule, at no extra cost (other than mentioned).

1st servicing is done. Have touched 6.5k rpm for first time. Revving is more free now. Vibes above 5k rpm are considerably reduced. However at 6500 rpm, it was irritating. But I don't care, have only 620km on odo. Got handle position adjusted, so feels more comfy & relaxed now. After washing, my bike looks like a new one..
They charged me oil filter rs.31 + Oil rs.196 + Vat =~ rs.255/-
@akhilrane:
Im satisfied with Kothrud Suzuki. abhi_gsr will tell u more about Swargate.
@Aniruddha:
They didn't know wattage. First the guy told me its 12V. Then I asked wattage, he said may be 5 or 10W. Check in manual, page 9-4 electrical specifications.
Position light 12V 5W
Number plate light must be same. Its connected to battery. (somebody pls confirm this)
Today I saw somebody at around 5:20 pm on Karve road petrol pump (the one near Karishma, opp. McDonalds) having orange GSR... is he one of us ?

hi. i felt vibrations near tank when i am in around 50kmph 6th gear. i dont know at what speed it starts. but i am feeling it clearly.. is it common in all bikes ?Originally posted by Bubbly View PostMan... What i feel is that u were very unlucky
Idle rpm should not be above 1.5k...Its even in the manual... You should have contacted the dealer immediately...
You would have surely test drove the vehicle before buying it... did u notice any vibes at 2.5k rpm with the test drive bike?.. If no then y didnt u ask the dealer about the vibes at 2.5k rpm to him?
except for the headlight and vibes at exactly 3.5k rpm there is nothing wrong with this bike.... I am hoping that even the 3.5k thing will almost disappear after 2nd service
Leave the braking part... I am yet to complete my 2nd service.. Braking has improved a lot... I will say its getting awesome ... My cousin who has an apache said that my brikes were very good after riding my bike...
You should have asked for another new bike the very next day to the dealer after getting this issues...

Hi!!!Originally posted by dhiwakar View Postmathew sir, vibes might be more on other bikes.. but still i miss my victor.. not that victor had no vibes.. the same engine resonance at 3.5 k rpm which we are talkingabout in GS was there in my victor between 50 to 55 km speed on my victor, not earlier.. also vibrations were there only when you cross 60... hmm....
i had a chance to inspect 7 bikes before chosing one... but all were just received by the showroom a day before i selected. hence could not drive and select.. it was lying in the godown space below the showrom..
Yes i took the test drive.. but the bike was better .....
regarding 2.5k rpm vibes.. please sit very close to the tank with the tank touching your crotch... you will never want to leave that 2.5k rpm again... heavenly vibes...
i remember taking my victor in 2002 to marudamalai(was working in coimbatore then) just after 3 days of purchase from Indo shell (trichy road).. the bike did not have any issues.. but GS finds wanting in power when you climb Padi flyover in chennai.. might be iam looking too much into the RPM meter without allowing engine to freely rev
will be giving my bike for 1s service hopefully next week. the odo has already crossed 560 km ....lets hope for the best
As we all insist, report ur problems during the 1st service...
Since Mr. Ramkumar is always @ our service, u can get it done without any strain... Since the bike is new, and also new in the market, u should be patient enough to get things settled down....
Since we are the initial set of customers, Suzuki will pay more attetion to our queries n issues
Remember to be at the most co-operative and polite with them, u will be offered with quality service
So, post ur comments after the service buddy

Hey i confirmed with my friend's brother. "Little water won't do any harm to that kit. Even though it's not completely waterproof, it has a protection layer which protect the kit from water. If water goes in, use a hair dryer to dry it. Nothing will happen." This is what he said to me.Originally posted by Shadowfax View PostNow in monsoon days, we'll have to think how to protect remote from water. Meanwhile u confirm with ur friends...
Anyways now ur battery's warranty is gone, what was covered under warranty ?
Today afternoon i went to service center for my first service. I leaved my bike there. Tomorrow evening delivery. The service center incharge said you didn't have warranty for battery as well as electrical wiring.
All the other parts are covered under warranty. The remote lock has 1 year warranty. In service center i said all my complaints. They note it down. They missed 2 of my complaints(chain slack and clutch adjustment). I'll call them tomorrow morning and ask them to do those 2 also. Today i asked the laddies handle. They said they have now. I asked them to fix one. For me they quoted Rs. 330 for oil and oil filter change, Rs. 300 for teflon coating and laddies handle extra. I hope all my complaints will be solved in my first service. Let us see

Exhaust Note!!!
Hi!!
Do u guys feel that that exhaust note is not enough???
The GS150R is definitely a macho looking bike!!!!
But when it comes to the exhaust note, it lets the whole thing down
SUZUKI should do something to this i feel...
I think even in one of the comparison video, it was told that , most of the youth prefer a roaring bike rather than a silent one...
As far as i am concerned,
the bike has got power
No vibes
But it couldn't be really felt due to the sound it makes
